Zone lighting - fob or Pass app

It's there a way to turn on zone lighting with the fob or Ford Pass app?

VICTORY!
After thinking about @LR48 ‘s suggestion, i removed the bronco from my FrdPass app and re-activated!

BOOM! All is working as designed…. (Engine does NOT have to be running)

I’m going to try this tonight. Guessing I have to bring the Bronco outside the garage to perform this procedure.

UPDATE: I got my Zone Lighting to appear in my Ford Pass app. Thank you, @Bluestreak57 for giving me step-by-step instructions. It was relatively quick and painless. I got it to work in a few minutes and have already played with the zone lighting feature. Very cool! I think it probably works better outside, though as it didn't want to do what I asked right away in the garage as it looked like it was searching for a signal. Makes sense.

If anyone needs the procedure spelled out, either I or Al will oblige. 😉

Instruction I sent Chris earlier tonight…

1. In FordPass app, go to account (upper right on Home Screen), find the bronco, copy the VIN, then remove vehicle

2. In FordPass app, back to account, ADD Vehicle (top half of screen), it will ask for VIN, paste from earlier

3. The app will go looking for your Bronco, might need cell coverage or Wi-Fi (unsure which or either), to see it

4. If it sees your Bronco, it will add it to the app, and then will tell you to activate the car on the app, and then in the vehicle….

5. If successful, you will be asked in runNing vehicle to approve connection to FordPass…

6. FordPass will show “Activation Pending” on your vehicle.

7. After 30 minutes or so, you should be golden…

8. In my case I had to log out of FordPass and log back in. I also restarted the phone to clear anything in the cache.

I have a 23 Badlands and had the same issue where the Zone Lighting did not appear on my Forb Pass app. I didn’t know I was supposed to have it, and didn’t know I even wanted it until I knew I was supposed to have it and didn’t - ha, ha. This method worked for me as well - I now have it. Many thanks!

Maybe Frank knows LOL
He knows it draws too much power, drains his battery, and will likely cause the modem to catch on fire due to Ford tracking his Bronco via telematics. So he decided to change some fuses around the widget on the tow package before spending $698 when he could have spent $59...which then locked his phone...causing him to ask his dealer to fix the rusty bolts...but NADA! Alas no app.

Wait, what's this about a trailer light check?

I have a '22 Badlands Lux mansquatch with the tow package, have always had the zone lighting option in the android app (the same on 2 different phones), but never seen anything about trailer lights. Do some of you really have 4 options in the app?

@Solfive was working on this, and somewhere I’ve seen a trailer connection button (I think) but can’t track it down this morning…

@Solfive did you get this working?

I could have imagined the whole trailer thing, since I don;t have towing and suffer from CRS…

I haven’t been able to get all 4 options to show up simultaneously unfortunately. Here is a screenshot with the trailer light check and the way my app currently looks.

This may seem really obvious, and if so please forgive…. Looks like the app only will show three across…. Have you tried scrolling within the features and settings area to be sure there isn’t a second row?

I have a 22 Raptor with all options and tried the delete/reset to no avail. I do not have an issue with accessing zone lighting while in the vehicle, just cannot get the app to recognize the feature. I have not deleted the entire app, just the vehicle -- is that the issue?

I dont know if there’s any difference with the Raptor…

There is no downside to deleting the app and re-installing it…. The vehicle(s) in your stable will remain tied to your username…

Were it me, I would delete/re-install the app, then delete the vehicle (copy the VIN) in the app. Wait a few minutes, Shut your phone off for a couple minutes, fire it up, add the vehicle, and re-activate it in the vehicle…. Once SYNC asks you to accept the vehicle, say YES and the app will then show the vehicle as “Activation pending”…. I would then turn my phone off one more time and restart it…

It won’t scroll, at least on my phone, but that’s certainly a good suggestion!

In your FordPass app, under your account and the help button (at the bottom), I would recommend calling the FordPass help line…. The FordPass guides are really great, in my experience…

I called FordPass and they were very friendly and helpful. Initially, after reviewing my app, they stated that my vehicle did not have zone lighting. It does. I have used it. They then stated that they would have to escalate the matter to a technician and that they would get back to me shortly (they provided a case number). Bluestreak57, you were spot on -- very nice people wanting to help -- a very good experience. I just hope that they can find a fix!
