Zone lighting - fob or Pass app

I have no access to this, and my Bronco is a MY23 OBX Sasquatch with Lux…. Wonder if it was dropped in 23my, or if its something that can be turned on in Forscan….

Also deleted and reinstalled the app… no joy

@Laura , any thoughts or direction?

Well I’m stumped. I tried to see if I was setup for automatic updates but couldn’t find a way to navigate to the screen they were describing in the Ford Pass app. Kinda peeved now.

Chris, are you looking in the app or in the rig? Auto updates are set up in the rig itself, under settings… you need to have the rig somewhere a Wi-Fi signal can reach it for it to work…

Question for the thread…. What phone or tablet are you using? I’m using an iPhone 13 and can’t see zone lighting…. Maybe a quirk between Android and iPhone apps?

I’m a spaz. I didn’t realize there were multiple pages of settings. The Ford Pass app even says so. Duh! I was in my rig, and found the page I was looking for, and it said my software was up to date. I’m also setup for automatic updates. So, that’s a non-issue. I’m using an iPhone X, and it’s also up to date, even though it’s an older model, but that doesn’t seem to be a factor, as you’ve got an iPhone 13 and do not see zone lighting as a Ford Pass option, either.

This isn’t a deal breaker (obviously it’s just a first-world problem), it’s just odd that others have this capability, even other 2023 Bronco owners, but some do not. Like I said, it’s an oddity. I wonder how we can inform Ford Pass that we don’t have the capability to activate zone lighting remotely, since we obviously have it in our rigs.

UPDATED DIRECTION FROM FORD PASS

I called FordPass (800 883-2966), which connected me with a guide who was very helpful.

Once they verified my vehicle and account and that my Bronco had Zone lighting, I was given a case number and the issue was escalated to the IT folk, who are supposed to get back to me within a few days…

What I specified as my problem was this “I can see and use zone lighting from within the vehicle, but the button in the FrodPass app that should be there under Features and Settings is not there, and I have friends with similar vehicles who can see and access zone lighting from their phones.”

IF you call (highly recommend) you will need some information from your phone (operating system, fordpass version, etc)

I went through both the online and in car info. The Ford website specifically states that your FordPass app should be enabled for zone lighting. I like you have a iPhone 13 and supposedly the latest FordPass app update 4.24.0. I was thinking that you might try starting over synching your phone to your vehicle (I know total pain in the ass) or perhaps checking to see if there is module that is not turned on related to zone lighting.
The owners manual specifically states as well the zone lighting (see Note 4 on right) is included in the Ford Pass append is not model specific.

re-activating is a PITA, but in the big scheme of things, a true “first world problem”

VICTORY!
After thinking about @LR48 ‘s suggestion, i removed the bronco from my FrdPass app and re-activated!

BOOM! All is working as designed…. (Engine does NOT have to be running)

Re-actctivating is pretty painless

Hmmmm, interesting.

My fault, I misspoke and tried to delete it before causing more confusion to the thread. I have a “trailer light check” link in the place of zone lighting.

I was going to ask if you had success, @HarrySquatch since you started this thread! So happy you got it to work…

Note for future…. Reset your phone, reset the app, remove/re-add vehicle on app, all BEFORE ever doing a master reset on Sync (but do check Sync for latest update).

Yeah I do have the tow package and was thinking the same thing about expecting all 4 buttons. I’m out of town but plan to try to update everything and resolve it this week upcoming. This thread has been very helpful as I personally haven’t seen it discussed previously.
