I've been getting a lot of DMs on how to correctly apply changes in FORScan to change the Bronco's audio system. So... since weather prevented me from doing what I wanted to do (install my subwoofer)... I opted to create a video on how to do it!

If you are interested in this sorta stuff, check out my other how-to guides:

Note this video is for the Base sound system for 2021-2023 (and probably later). The B&O system included in the Lux package has a different configuration

Upgrading audio w/new speakers/amps/sub and the the amps have DSP so wanting ro understand the ACM changes and what is difference between speaker and speaker/tweeter setting like if you were putting 6 1/2 speakers in rear pods which setting would be best? I was thinking the following:

727-01-01
XX2B-2AXX-XXXX
727-01-02
XX00-XXXX-XXXX

Thoughts?

Nailed it. Exactly what you should do.

I don’t see why not. Let me know when you have some free time!

The big question mark is the DSP. I’m familiar with Ford’s high-end audio systems they used back when they had the contract with Sony (pre-2018), but I’ve never had any personal experience with the B&O systems.

@RagnarKon did you get a chance to try remotely? If not I have a 2024 Badlands with the B&O system. I can setup a screen share session if you want to try on mine. I've already killed the annoying "beeps" and enabled Sport Mode, but the sound setting I'm not having any luck with. I swapped out the factory rears with Kenwood 4' 2-ways and it does sound a bit better, but i'm guessing a tweak or two would improve the sound even more. Would like to figure it out before I do any real upgrades.

I did!!

On the standard audio system, the EQ setting primarily only impacts the rear pod speakers. So turning off the EQ really only impacts the rear pods, which is awesome.

On the B&O system, turning off the EQ setting impacts every speaker in the Bronco, and unfortunately not for the better. So... there is no easy answer for B&O. The "correct" solution would be to use an aftermarket A2B DSP (Automotive Audio Bus Digital Signal Processor), but that's a fairly hefty investment.

UGH, well thanks for the answer, just replacing the factory speakers in the rear pods did make an improvement... so i guess ill just live with it for now... at least till i do the higher priority stuff on my "upgrade" list!, I had a cherokee trailhawk before this (actually 3 of them) and the Fosgate system in those puts the B&O to shame...(granted "1 piece vs removable top".. but still)

have a good one, and thanks for all the time/effort you have put into sharing all your knowledge here. much appreciated!

Not sure what the rear speakers are in the BO but 6" speakers (and new pods to house them) helped a lot in my non-BO model, I also added an amp to power them.

Hey everyone! Im very new to the forscan world and the 500 different speaker codes is confusing. Could someone help me with what code I need to change?

I had an amp and sub installed today, what exactly am I looking to change?

I have a 2025 base bronco which has the 6 speakers and a baby sub.

Depends how it's hooked it up. Do you know how it was wired?

Unfortunately I don't. If it helps, I can control the bass level of the sub with the console sound settings.

Mmmm...k. So the question is what gear they installed, how they wired it, and if they already compensated for it in their installation. If they did, then you don't have to do anything.

Or I guess said another way, if you are happy with how it sounds now, then probably not worth dealing with the Forscan side of things.
