How much off road usage will you do on your new Bronco?

I know many off road automobile owners (like the Jeep) who never used their car off road, they only buy them for the look, are you going to be one of them!!!??? Please tell me no way!!
Lets find new roads and adventures away from cities.

I'm glad to see that there are very few bashing comments on this forum about non-wheelers driving 4x4's (soccer moms/mall crawlers)

Those comments get to me for one reason: A large percentage of us live in rural areas with poor side roads (at least the possibility of such when the weather is poor), or areas that get heavy snow.

I think the people that live or work in these areas are the only ones who actually need a 4x4, (you know, to get their kids to school safely, to get to work in a storm, etc - even if these events are rare), rather than those who simply wheel for fun.

Me too. Everyone's situation is unique for their use case of a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Some have a necessity, some have a desire; neither is right or wrong, just different.

Being understanding of everyone's needs/wants makes for a better conversation and pleasant environment to be a part of. :)

Not everyone who buys a Mustang GT needs to see how fast it will go. I have two fullsize Broncos.... one with a six inch lift and a full Detroit locker in the rear, sporting 35' BFG mud terrains … and have not engaged the 4wd in either for about 3 years. Why do we need to put everyone in nice little boxes in order to make ourselves feel better..... If you want to lower a brand new Bronco then by all means have at it. Buying a Bronco does make you a badass, or off road stud, so the sooner you get over that the better.

Please don't lower your brand new Bronco. I mean it's your right to do whatever makes you happy, but for the sake of the eyes that will witness such an abomination, please.

I've known people who lower 4x4s, not my cup of tea but its unique and I can appreciate the work involved to get it done.

I was getting a new bumper with winch and trail lights installed, and the subject of mallcrawlers came up. One of the techs mentioned that 90% (his figure) of the stuff they install is just for looks for guys who want to go macho. I told them about driving International Scouts in 1965 (Yep--I'm that old!) on the Sonora Desert playa for a mineral company when I was in high school. That got me some off-road cred!
I saw a guy in a spiffy-shiny Sahara, hooked up to an EV charging station outside a supermarket. All by himself, and wearing a face diaper (Covid mask), too! I took a picture, which seemed to upset him.

Oh no! Not a mask! Did you clutch your pearls all the way home over that one?

In my old sick age my camping/wheeling days are mostly behind me so my guess is I will seldom do much off roading but I do want to run the rubicon a few more times so it will be set up for that.

Not in the least! He has complete freedom to wear a mask, or not, just as I claim the freedom to receive, or not, a vaccine that was approved under specious "emergency" waivers and turned out to be neither safe nor effective. I'm still a PureBlood!

Much as I can when I can. Still have some more setup to do. But I will say I'm getting old and my bones ache after wheeling but you will have to pry my cold dead hands from my steering wheel before I quit. I must admit that it's also my daily driver so I am carful with my lines and nothing over s 5 or 6 rating.

I have no FEAR of the curbs and stops at the mall , and if I want to jump the curb and cross a parking lot and go around the stalled traffic I have the means to out fox the foggies . I can cross a medium with a puddle and jump to the other side of the highway with no re-GURTS :ROFLMAO: , I LIVE WITH NO FEAR ! I HAVE A BRONCO

PS , BUT when it.s time to take down a 5X5 ELK WITH MY 6.5X55 SWISS , I will get there with my 4X4 Bronco . I HAVE NO FEAR

with gas prices being what they are, and the increased cost of living really starting to impact us, we are making some conscious decisions of ways to cut unnecessary costs, so this past weekend, for example - I wanted to go out and do some off roading, but with it costing over $100 for a tank of gas, and knowing that a day of off roading is usually a full tank, I decided not to go.... hopefully things start getting back to normal soon(ish)
