I have a question regarding B&O Sound System with 10 speakers including a subwoofer (Lux Package). Is it worth it? Are they really that good?
How about if they offer it as a stand alone for $1,000 or less.
Would you get them if you are a speaker person?

Thanks!

Just gonna float this out there to the masses. An FYI with all of this modern technology we have today, comes a price. When you plug your devices into the modern vehicles technology centers we are giving access to, and downloading our personal information from those devices. And when you unplug that device your information is permanently stored in that system when you sell or turn in your lease or rental vehicle. Who knows what WiFi grabs. So everyone needs to be careful. Because I can get it with a warrant, and bad people can just get it. I was at a class regarding the new digital license plate technology that is for good or bad coming to every state, and the instructor gave us some technology for that. I am not advocating for any business but here is a link for a product to help protect your personal information.
This is why I carry a battery unit that has enough power to charge my phone just over 2 times. The unit can be charged after I charge my phone if I want to keep it full. It has come in handy and is about the same size as my cellphone (just a bit thicker). I bought it for I think 15 bucks on Black Friday. It'll charge 2 devices at once and the speed is about the same as the factory charger that came with my phone.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm already planning to try and mount a portable CD player onto the dash rail. Super disapointed that ford can't be bothered to give us a CD player in a $30k-$60k vehicle.
Hell, just slap a 10 disk changer up on that bad boy then!

So helpful as I did a deep diving into building a custom system vs going LUX and decided to go LUX. Any chance you listened to the system with the top off of the car? Many thanks either way for the review!

What's a CD? I think I have seen those at antique stores
This joke would be funnier if they didn't literally sell them at wallmart. Try again in 5 years.

Last night I finally had the chance to listen to the B&O system in a Bronco with a soft top folded down. I have never been or never will be an audiophile, but I thought the system sounded pretty good considering there was no top and no way to put the speakers in the doors. There was a lot more bass than I would have assumed so that was a nice surprise. I think there will be enough clarity at higher volumes needed to overcome the wind noise from the open top and the noisy tires. Not sure that I would pay the extra cost for the Lux just for the stereo but I think its worth it for the whole package. JMHO

Curious! Were you listening to music on iTunes or equivalent via Apple Play? Or was it SiriusXM?

One thing that I did notice, it was very difficult to read the screen with the top down. There was so much glare it was tough to read what was on the screen which I guess is understandable. It seems that it needs some kind of anti-glare screen protector to help.
That was one of the reasons I didn't try something through the phone.

Being a former DJ in my younger years I am quite familiar with the B&O products and their long line of quality items. Back in the day when audio stores were around their products were available very limited and had a friend who purchased several items they offered. Impressive back then and even now but quite hard to purchase now days with everything going on.... Can't wait to hear with my own ears which is one reason I got the LUX edition in the OUTER BANKS model..........all in due time............UPDATE: I have moved a large amount of my music to memory sticks which go in the usb ports.........still have large qty of cd's and an even larger qty of vinyl of about 10,000 pieces.......

Do they really still sell CDs at Wal-Mart or is this also part of the joke?

Been dying to listen to the LUX stereo with the top completely off as if it ain't raining and I have a convertible, the top is down! My plan to get some extra kick with the top down is to add a marine grade sound bar that projects both to the front and back attached at the center of the open roof. I'm sure there will be an after market option by the time I get my Bronco and I've already done the deep dive in this thread, there is likely an output to go to this speaker as the previous Ford B&Os have made this possible.

Thanks for the share!

PS Here is a concept pic only, not the right speaker as don't know if one exists yet that will be the right fit for the vehicle, ie power, sound matching, mounting safety, etc

Ford has a JBL set up for the back in the accessory catalog already.

They're much cheaper than vinyl for indie bands to make since people don't want CDs anymore.

Unclear if it interfaces with the system though. Definitely not the B&O.

It definitely says in the accessories catalog that it's not compatible with the BO system, so the assumption is it IS compatible with the stock system. Pretty sure its not hard wired, but uses Bluetooth to either pair with a phone or the stock system.
Aside from the fact I've already ordered the Lux w/ BO, I don't like the fact it completely eliminates even the small rear view you had before.

The JBL rack is a Bluetooth that connects to the Sync4 and combines with the system. Not trim level specific, you could technically remove it and play it anywhere
