Jan 10, 2022

I was lucky enough to have an early reservation holder back out of his purchase. It happened to be my exact spec, so I purchased it from Newberg Ford in Oregon with no mark up. Thank you Casey! I've noticed nothing wrong with the vehicle. I've enjoyed every aspect of it. The tires do collect rocks. These will be replaced. I plan on turning this into an overland vehicle.

Follow along as I continue the build!

Nice build B Miller, really clean! Those slide outs for the fridge seem like a nice option but have always been concerned about it rattling, thanks for the input on that. Are you still happy with everything else, no other rattles?

The slide out has it's place for sure. As you can see, I don't NEED it. The rattle was driving me crazy and had to go. The drawer is solid as a rock. It does not rattle, nor does the cargo inside. The tailgate table is solid and does not rattle. Nice and quiet back there. :)

Here is an item that I've been considering. I have multiple off-road vehicles that this would be moved around for.
https://www.portablewinch.com/colle...3000-li-battery-powered-pulling-winch-80-82-v
It will not block the ACC or parking sensors in any way.

That's a nifty idea. Too bad only 2200# capacity (gonna need A LOT of pulleys and a mile of rope) but it'll work well in a pinch. (y)

My current solution is to have plenty of ropes, straps, shackles & pulleys and make sure I'm wheeling with someone with a winch.

That's definitely gonna need a good 4+ pulleys to get to a decent pulling weight there like @WhiskeyCity said

Please let me know when a company has a solution. Not too critical, it’s driving me crazy that I have to rely on a come along.
There is a huge post about all the available options for winch bumpers on Bronco 6G, I will try and post a link. It lists pros and cons of each as well as whether or not they work with the cameras and adaptive cruise control.

Bumper winch options

Great, so it looks like my only option is to replace the bumper…. Soooo glad I went for the HD Modular bumper and skid plate! I really thought the Modular bumper advantage would have been the ability to add a winch. I’m hoping a solution will one day come, because I really like the bumper. So until then I’ll live with my come along option. That being said, also not happy with the wimpy read bumper… I have no problem swapping that out.

I hear you. One of the only advantages of getting bumped to 2022 is that I didn't get the now more expensive modular bumper so I won't feel so bad about replacing it.

I highly recommend this product for your 8-12 inch dash screen. Each package comes with two sets and everything you need is included. Super easy to apply and no bubbles. Exact fit!

It's available on Amazon here: Screen Protection

You can order one from your Ford Dealer. I'd search "Ford Bronco Cargo Drawer" and find the best deal. There's a bunch of shops selling the same drawer. I paid $680 for mine. (y)

Since I have the leather package, thought I'd share my thoughts. With the leather package, you get leather / electric seats, carpet flooring, and a fold down rear arm rest with cup holders.

This only applies to the four door Bronco. The two door options are not the same.

Leather Seats
  • Very similar to a Jeep Rubicon. Nice looking and comfy to sit in. The electric seats have plenty of adjustments and lumbar support. A+
Carpet Flooring
  • I have the Ford rubber floor mats and forget the carpet is even there. After driving both models with and without carpet, I will say the cabin seems a touch quieter with the carpet. I do recommend the Ford rubber floor mats. They stay in place nicely and provide nice coverage.
Rear Fold Down Arm Rest w/ Cup Holders
  • I think every model should come with a rear arm rest with cup holders. Since they don't, the leather package solves the problem. They are what they are and seem to work just fine. Recommended.
If you are lookng for a touch more comfort while on the trails, the leather package does a good job. Maybe a touch quieter in the cabin and if you have kiddos, the rear cup holders are a must. For serious off roading with heavy mud / water involved, stick with MGV. Those washout floors may come in handy.

STICKERFAB warning label deletes. It would be nice if Bronco visor warning lables came off, since they don't here's a solution. Couldn't be easier to install and work just fine. Recommended.

I was just about to ask about the winch. Totally surprised that someone has not made a solution to the 2.7L with the HD bumper. For now, my solution is an 8000 lb rated come along (less than ideal). Bronco looks great though!
I have the Lux, and the advanced cruise control relocation bracket from Addictive Desert Designs was shipped a couple of days ago. I do have the Ford/Warn winch kit, and my dealer would not install it. So I did. But now, I have to take the winch back off, to get access to the sensor. Hopefully do that install next weekend.

You could note that the leather seat option on a 2-door...does not include power front seats. Nor, does the 2-door have a rear seat center console. Which means the rear seating is for 2 passengers only, not 3. Kind of a rip-off, when you do the leather seat option on a 2-door, and it is manual seats, the charge is the same as 4-door.

Can you let me know your thoughts on the kit? Also, where the sensor ended up? I have the kit on order and would love to know how it all went together! (y)

Post updated with that correction. Thank you for the nudge! (y)

Had some window tinting done today. Matched the front windows with the rears. Turned out great!

Still waiting on the ACC sensor relocation kit so I can add the winch. Wednesday, I'm headed to the powder coating shop to start the process of turning the beadlock rings Carbonized Grey.

Stay tuned!

The sensor was originally stated to package adjacent to right headlight. And hole saw required. The company pasted directions from Raptor. But it is a great company
