Saw this on the 6G, looks super cool and wanted to share. Already preordered mine this morning!

Personally I don’t mind the mechanical prop rod too much, but this accessory just seems perfect. Yeah, it’s another hydraulic thing that can/will fail but it sure makes access and and raise/lowering easier!

Love the stuff innovative folks are coming up with.

This is great. Also if it fails just use the prop rod. No need to remove it based on what I saw in the video.

Interesting - I don’t think about a rear strut option. As a Jeep guy, I really don’t mind the soft top rear because I am accustomed to it. But, the fact that the Bronco rear lifts up can be useful. Although I can really do without the bacon wave rear windows as a result.

Personally, I don’t fully understand the overpriced ($100) hood strut kits and now rear lift kits that some folks are peddling.

A couple of weeks after getting my Bronco, I fabricated my own assisted hood opening solution as I had done with my Jeep. It’s a fairly easy mod utilizing a pair of 15.45” compressed, 24” extended struts (I used 93 lb, 4793 model), a pair of 10 mm ball mounts at the hinge end & a pair of 10mm #35 ball mounts on the hood and they work great. Total cost was about $30 but the satisfaction of doing my own work and fabricating a viable solution is priceless.

Now I need to reverse engineer the rear strut solution…

@Bschurr, I’d try to do it myself, but after a few hours fabbing brackets, several trips to hardware or auto parts store, I’d have about $300 in it for time, materials, and gas! :)

Like doing as much as I can on my own, and don’t mind doing business with people that make useful products.

Haven’t done the hood struts yet, but on my list…

LOL
That’s my problem - I don’t value my own time but enjoy building stuff. So while the materials may cost less, the overall time spent is typically significantly longer.

A few notable examples include:
- Old Skool Hockey Stripe & Grille overlay
- Mod Bumper Lights
- Cargo Cover
- Rollbar Storage

I like to share in my learnings so hopefully others can enjoy the fruits of my labor without the learning curve.

In the end there is great satisfaction in self reliance (as you know from the amazing job you did on the vinyl)!

Great concept and seems like a great company. I saw on B6G they are working on one that will open automatically when you open the swing gate, I'd be more interested in that one if it comes to fruition.

Just pre-ordered. I recently destroyed my shoulder, and this should help. They threw in the Roll Bar Paint Protection Kit as a gift on preorder.

Sweet. I'm buying a set in future. Bookmarked until then. Currently waiting on Boomba BOV adapter to arrive for my MT..

Ps-anyone else notice there are 2 sections for rear prop rods but Ford only gave us 1? At least on mine.
