I am new to Bronco, Thinking to order the 2024 Everglades soon, manage to order one with MSRP no markup. But the dealer say will be 8 months wait.

Most of the time I use the car for kayaking, fishing, all year round hiking and camping. I also do some level 3-4 level off roading in north east area 4 to 5 times a year! I also need to tow my 18ft fishing boat in summer time. I currently have a lifted and armor up outback wildness. She does a great job for over 2 years, however, she start having battery drain issue many time in the pass 4 months, I am on the 3rd battery and the dealer seems can't fine the real cause of the problem. So i am calling for replacement.

I am not lock in to this version, but I really like the look and setup of the Everglades. I know this version will lose 360 camera, adaptive cruise (Love the one on the Subaru), 334A package, sway disconnect and no 2.7 engine but what else??? does it worth it?

Is the 2.3 engine good enough, and hows the rear seats on Bronco? are they comfortable for long trip? I always have people seat in the back and I do long trips almost every week with passengers in the back. so the rear seats is very important to me. My bother had a wrangler sport and rear seat is horrible for over 30 min ride!

For the resale, which version is better? Sorry for some many questions, but I am NEW 😎

should I go for bad land or wildtrak with 2.7 instead?

Thanks

Welcome to Bronco Nation! Here's some Everglades + kayak eye candy for you 😎

I recently went through the idea of High package and the 360 camera vs. my current Mid package, and people overwhelming said they love it. however, we have several with awesome experiences without it, both Everglades owners and other trims. It's truly hard to go wrong with a Bronco.

To answer your Questions. First off our Everglades is a year old today. Didn't take delivery until November 3, 2022 so we had a about 9 months wait from when we changed our order to the Everglades, the Desert Sand was a late production color.
Just so you know our Glades is pretty much bone stock.

We do lots of Kayaking but we have 4 yaks we take out, the wife and I are paddling 100LBS Shadow Casters and the Boys are both in 70lbs Tallons so we usually trailer the yaks. too much weight to lift on a roof. we do a lot of Salt water so we need the 12+ feet.

off roading you can do it in the Everglades we have been on some pretty technical trails and no worries. I added the trailer hitch and 4 pin wiring and I have pulled my Homebuilt teardrop a few times and it pulls with 0 issues but it is pretty light at 1000lbs estimated. If your Boat is less than 3500lbs you should be good.

I can't speak to the cruise - I HATE cruise control and will never use it so adaptive cruise was not an issue.
The 360 cameras I don't miss I have never had that on a vehicle before so no real issue there. and I find the Bronco to be a small vehicle easy to park and zip around town, well compared to my F250 the Silverado, or our old Suburban we had. LOL

the 2.3l is plenty of Motor for the Everglades. we only run 87 octane don't feel we need more power. we would gain another 30HP if we switched to 93 but again we don't really need it. These little motors are pretty amazing. Now that we have taken the roof rack off ( not sure if that is the reason) we have been averaging 19 MPGs for a 4x4 brick that is pretty good.

The rear seats are comfortable I have sat back there for a 2 hour road trip with no complaints. you do have two reclining positions so that helps. That said my younger son (17 YO 6'-2" Sasquatch) hates the rear seats but he is all legs so he has no room. but to be fair he doesn't like the back seats of any vehicle. My older boy has no complaints but he is about my height 5'-9" and our 150lbs Great Dane loves to ride in it no complaints on the whole 4000 mile trip to Key West.

Resale is always a guessing game. I think having the Sasquatch will help. the Everglades will probably be one of the most if not the most rare Broncos, however being rare does not mean it will be worth more but it could help it. Also the MY24 comes standard with the rear slide out tailgate. it eats up a little bit of cargo space but it is a neat thing to have. If you get one and don't like it I will gladly trade cargo spaces with you. πŸ˜‰

I love the Everglades and I think it is the Most under rated trim level.

Sasquatch, Snorkel, Squared off fenders, Wench, hard top, Limited production numbers and the coolest wheels all equal one heck of a trim level.

If you have any other questions please let me know.

Wow, congratulations the Raptor is a beast. If you don’t want to wait one of the dealerships around here has 8 of them sitting on the lot at MSRP. The TrailRax is a good option I believe @Scottweisen and @Magic Raptor both have Raptors with TrailRax. Maybe one of those guys can shed some light on the rack.
