My new Bronco Sport randomly won't accelerate from a stop.

In the 8 weeks since I bought my Bronco Sport it has randomly failed to accelerate from a stop at least four times. Each time its after at 10+ minute drive, with AC, and after turning it off it will eventually move, but sluggish or barely. When it won't move at all it revs and will roll, like neutral, but the dial is in drive or reverse. I get honked at stop lights and am going to get hit pulling into traffic, eventually. It has been back to the dealer twice and looking at a third. The problem is random and they haven't been able to duplicate it, so can't fix it either. It was made in 3/22. Anyone else have this problem?

Mine is going on 3 weeks at dealer. They may replace entire transmission. This is after 400 total miles on new car. Not a great experience

Just bought a 2021 Bronco Sport with - little over 8000 miles. In the 5 days I have had the car, I experienced this same acceleration issue where the car will not accelerate from a stop. A couple of times I needed the car to accelerate quickly when merging into busy traffic. For those who had this issue how was it resolved. I see some had new transmissions installed?

Hi there. This acceleration concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Bronco. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.
I have the same issue. I accelerate and I have no power, until I back off from the accelerator and try again. It spikes to 3000rpm, and then it feels like it’s just stopping. The dealer seems to not notice the issue but it’s impossible to drive it like this. I had another Bronco Sport for a few days as a courtesy car and that car didn’t have this issue.

@Ford Motor Company I am having this same issue and have talked to the dealership about it so many times. They tried telling me when it was only a few weeks old that it was normal and that the turbo gets bogged down in high heat weather. I knew it was not true because this is not the first turbo engine I've had but they claim it never duplicates for them. They kept telling me not to run it in eco mode but I never put it in that mode. Then last time they told me to keep it in sport mode. Yesterday it hit 80 degrees and I was almost t-boned trying to get out of my housing development. I hit the accelerator and it just bogs down in slow motion for several seconds before revving up and snapping out of it. It does it in sport mode or regular mode. I have put up with non stop issues in this car that I have tolerated (Bluetooth, daytime running lights coming on or staying on whenever they feel like it, EVP, powertrain, backup camera coming on when driving forward, rear differential going out, etc..) but this one is going to kill me and my kids at some point!! I've also documented with the dealer (and of course they claim it wont duplicate even though I show them videos of it) that when you are going slow like in a parking lot or drive through and try to accelerate slowly it has a bad vibration and you have to let off accelerator and try again to make it stop. It's screaming transmission issues but now almost 2 years and 50k miles of talking to the dealership about this and paying $100 now each time while its on Ford's extended warranty, its getting old.

Hi there. Send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you have been working with and I will be happy to start looking into this acceleration issue on my end!
