We are getting a lot but not like up north. All up I-17 between Prescott up to Flagstaff all the creeks and rivers. And I-17 just south off Flagstaff is a river. I imagine Scott and Louise have been getting hit hard also. Good thing monsoon season is over. El Niño is here. If you look at the water pouring off the cliffs it shows how much power it has to change the river and canyon landscapes

It's great weather if you're a duck. We're got a lot of rain for sure.. l had to constantly drain the pool. We live on a little hill but the washes that surround us were running.
First time putting the expedition in four wheel drive. We didn't cross running water, but the wash we have to cross was redesigned from the wash running.

We did add two more off road vehicles to the fleet. A couple fat tire e bikes.
And yes, I looked at the Bronco ebike. But fit was important so dealers and test ride was a requirement. And based on the price of the Bronco bike we almost got a two for one deal.

Helmets are new for us on a bike. I always thought headgear on a bike was turning your ball cap around.

I hope everyone's Halloween was satisfactorily scary. Mine was. While working outside on my Bronco, a MURDER WASP swept in and dry humped my steering wheel. This gave me an unplanned ten minute break until it lost interest and flew away. I've never been stung by anything other than a mosquito, and want to keep it that way.

I should've taken a picture of this thing. It was HUGE. At least 1.5". Honestly, I just wanted to get back to work. As it is, I must've removed and reinstalled my two front tops a dozen times before I got the fitment right. Now they come off and go back on without a struggle.

And I didn't get stung. 🙂

I have heard that they are now in the US, they’ve been trying real hard to keep them out of the State of Washington, but they have been losing this battle. They will eventually spread to the warm climate areas and will win the battle against us trying to keep them out.
They say that only 3 or 4 stings will kill the average person, I guess hence the name “Murder Hornets.”

I have heard that they are now in the US, they’ve been trying real hard to keep them out of the State of Washington, but they have been losing this battle. They will eventually spread to the warm climate areas and will win the battle against us trying to keep them out.
They say that only 3 or 4 stings will kill the average person, I guess hence the name “Murder Hornets.”

Yeah, that’s the guy. I gave him plenty of space, trust me. I should’ve called him a hornet because he didn’t look like a wasp at all. Unlike a wasp, it had a big chunky body, but it did have legs that dangled like a wasp’s. It kind of hovered around a bit before crawling around my interior. To be honest, it looked pretty cool but I didn’t want to get too close. I admired it from a few feet away as it crawled across my steering wheel. I hoped that he wasn’t thinking of moving in for good. He appeared to be weighing his options. Then out of nowhere, he went aloft and flew away. Phew! 🐝

Good Monday Morning, Kids!
The sun is shining on this frosty morning and its a great morning to sit and enjoy a second cup of coffee and see what the day brings… Youngest son and one grand are flying in from Kwajalein today and will be here for 10 days (company bereavement benefit) so that’s a bonus we weren’t expecting… Always great when family unexpectedly drops in…

Weather seems to be finally relenting a little in the SW, glad to see our compadres there have stayed relatively dry and unscathed bu Mother Nature’s fury… Lake Powell has risen almost 15 feet in the last month, but even with all this rain it’s still below the level of a year ago… Drought and warming temps are a thing, whether we had a hand in it or not…

It’s a beautiful day here in Western Washington as fall evenings lean cold and days warm to about -40°…

My nine year old granddaughter arrived late Monday and showed me a Bronco T-shirt she’s been saving for when we go out hunting other Broncos with our various swag items we like to leave (gently) on others’ rides. She’ll be here for a week with her dad, so hoping we’ll get a chance get out and seek out some Broncos.

SEMA is happening and from the videos I’ve seen already (thanks @fordvideoguy) show some pretty amazing vehicles and examples of what can happen when money (and common sense) go out the window… It will be really interesting to see the Megazilla 2.0 in action in the Bronco…
