It's so easy to get jaded by people and events, but once in a while, you're reminded that there are good people doing kind things simply because they choose to do so. It can offset the pain and discouragement encountered in daily life.

For example, yesterday from my apartment window, I noticed people helping a man who'd fallen on the road while crossing. The poor guy was out cold and apparently conked his head on the street, evidenced by the stream of blood running away from his inert body. His cane and baseball hat lay beside him.

Some people parked their cars in the street with their flashers blinking and directed traffic around the scene while others attempted to revive the man. Somebody called for help on their cell phone. Eventually, the man came around but he was visibly disoriented. Luckily, paramedics soon arrived and tended to the man's injuries as the crowd that had gathered slowly dispersed. It was heartening to see perfect strangers responding to another in a time of need.

I just wanted to share this with you all. 🙂

Earlier in the week we were traveling on the iron mountain rd. A scenic drive in South Dakota.
It was misting rain.
A motorcycle went down in a turn.
Several offered aid. Stopping traffic, assistance with the bike. Luckily it was a slow speed fall and the biker was okay. We offered up our ouch pouch, and tools. But he was mostly just shaken.
Probably 6 people were out of their vehicles to help.
So your right, a lot of people will step up and help.

Good morning! I get to have a lazy day today. I want to do research on RV campgrounds in Moab. See which ones have cabins with full baths in them. Maybe find a base camp there for us. But, it will be a BYOB thing.
Balloon Fiesta started here yesterday. Our weather forecast is pretty good for next week.

Howdy from sunny Arizona. We're getting into the negative temperatures but I refuse to shut down the pool. Hopefully I can keep it open until November.

I'm excited about the possibility of cabin/campground in Moab.

The two highways between Flagstaff and Utah are good in the bronco but horrible towing or with the camper. I guess someone said let's build a dead straight road, but make it wavy and choppy so any RV won't want to use it.

Going to be a sunny week here in the PNW, with cool nights and pleasant days with higher about -35.

Not a lot to report from Gold Bar, though we had to cut our family trip to N Utah a little short as my son Dan ended up in the hospital… Likely will be there this week, though he is showing improvement daily…

Not to start a fight, but saw an article in the WP on what many here (and everywhere, it seems) consider the worst button on modern vehicles. I’ve dealt with the button through so many cars I don’t really think about it much anymore…

Happy Saturday, Kids!
Been a busy week with more time than I would like sitting in a hospital waiting room. Thanks all for the positive thoughts and prayers, not sure yet what’s going to transpire with Dan, but we should know ALOT more in about few days.

IF youre needing something to do, I would recommend following our friend Melissa Clark on the Rebelle Rally, which just completed Day 2. Melissa and her driver jumped from 18th place to 9th place in a single day today, which is amazing…

just search rebelle rally online, and there’s lots of places to get information. You Tube also, and you can follow the racers live on the YB Races app…
