Good Wednesday Evening, Kids!
It’s been a minute for me being on here on Libations, and wanted all to know we’re alive and kicking, though very tired and worn down by a two and eight year old in our space, all day, every day, for a couple weeks…. As my bride says when she’s on her last nerve (only to me, as she still has to be Nana)… “It’s just ALOT sometimes…

I used to get kind of confused by those who were kidless by choice, and more so by those who generally didn’t enjoy being around people in general. If you know me you know that is the polar opposite of who I am. Now we have a 45 year old adult in our home who has basically lived a hermit’s life for the last 20+ years, and being constantly around his nephew and niece is driving him up the proverbial wall. It has caused me to realize that some folks just prefer MUCH smaller social circles (or none at all), and there’s nothing wrong with any of that… Dan is learning to time himself out, and has decided to “play ball” with the littles as much as possible as he doesn’t want to be “surly Uncle Dan”.

We are slowly settling into this new reality, sometimes in fits and starts. Those of you familiar with the situation have been wonderful with your support and thoughts… Thanks is nowhere near enough. We are still on for Sturgis, and Arizona is still on the books for at least February 2027!

Keep it Wild, Kids!

Happy to hear that everything is going well with all that you have going on recently, sounds like your pushing your way through the ups and downs, that’s awesome to hear.
Very glad that Sturgis is still calling you, or should I say, still on your radar.
I have not heard a word so far of anyone backing out yet, so we should have a pretty good crowd going.
From what I’ve been reading, picking the town of Deadwood was a very good choice, lots of history there!!!
Can’t wait to see you two once again!!!

Very quickly here, and then it’s off to work….
I haven’t been on a lot because of the home projects that we are trying to get done.
The biggest being the kitchen!
Our countertops have been installed and the rather large holes in our ceiling have been fixed.
I have also completed all the plumbing yesterday, and yes……”No Leaks.” 🤣
Things are still moving forward.

Howdy from sunny Arizona. Kinda warm today so the pool is in the near future.
I been working to get the Jeep out of hibernation. Carburetor, brakes and stuff.

Happy Hump Day all! Sorry, I already drank all the coffee.
So, last Wednesday I took the Bronco in for an oil change. 4pm appointment at Quick Lanes. Was warned that they are on a new system and it was slowing them down. Ok. Then I was told I needed new rear brake pads, OK, let's do it. It was 9:45pm before I drove away. And I could hear a rubbing on the right rear when cornering when I was running errands on Sunday. Ugggh
I have a 10am appointment at the dealership today and have let them know about the rubbing sound. It gets inspected for the seat bolt recall today. Come on Ford! This girl doesn't want to take her Maverick on vacation in a few weeks. Indy and Detroit in August and Sturgis in September. I am so excited to get to see a lot of you on both! And good to hear @Bluestreak57 is still on for Sturgis and AZ in February.

Saw this when I was at Petsmart (cats are eating me out of house & home). Made me think of all of you.
Have a great day! Hug the ones you love.

Howdy from monsoon Arizona. It's summer storm time here. Except for getting a little warm here we don't get the extreme weather that other places do. Our heart goes out to those who have had all the flooding recently.

So for @Bluestreak57 have an Arizona sunrise 1000002082.jpg

So what is the main ingredient of an Arizona Sunrise? Still tequila, but the mixer is pineapple juice?

Happy Saturday morning all! Got my Bronco back last night. It passed the seat bolt inspection for that recall. And they fixed the rubbing in the left rear that I had from quick lanes putting on new rear brake pads. I need to get it to Discount to balance the tires, maybe. Or air up the tires to 38 and see how she feels, Ford took them down to 35. I wish I would have remembered to tell them not to rotate/balance, but then would my worn brake pad been found?
Need to get new windshield wipers on too. Then, hopefully, she's ready for a long drive.
Thanks for sharing that meme @Bluestreak57. Yeah, miss those touron updates from West. Miss @Sven!
Have a good day all! Hug the ones you love!

Howdy from sunny... A... Cloudy Arizona.
Today is work on Jeep brakes day. I'm not sure but the guys with the ol gen 1 broncos generally get to buy parts for that year and model. Maybe they upgrade some.
My 47 Willy's had gotten 11" Ford brakes adapted to it in the 70's. It was a popular kit to upgrade from the stock 9" brakes. Especially if you liked being able to stop.

So it was a search finding new wheel cylinders. They wound up fitting a 1959 Thunderbird. So even the retro fit parts fit classic cars!
It's also got a radiator from a 60's mustang. An engine, transmission and steering gear from a 60's Chevy.
Cuz that's how you fixed up a Jeep in the 70's, unlike a Bronco.
And now a part person only knows how to look up by drop-down boxes.
