We all have been seeing this first hand lately.
We have been getting hit by rain after rain, not to mention all the snow melt up North.
We have 5 damns that are on the brink of collapse.
Even the rivers around me are at an all time high!
We had 4 tornadoes confirmed just a couple of days ago, and we’re still not out of the woods for another week.
Also with all the rain, there are night
crawlers all over my drive way, I think I ran some over last night!!!!
My Bronco has a low tire pressure
monitor going off.
Our cat got a mouse last night and
dropped it off in our garage.
I cancel my cable TV yesterday.
So “yeah,” we‘ve had our share of
problems!!!
By the way….
Coffee is on!!! 🤣🤣🤣

There have been plenty of politicians on both sides who dodged the draft. Including Biden and Clinton. My feelings have always been, that if you want to be elected as a Congressperson, Senator, or President, you need to have served in one of the military branches. If you are in the conversation to commit our children to go to war, you should have at least been in the military and faced the same possibility.

That moisture would have made the next obstacle, "Ilene", very scary for me. But, I think the slick rock is still grippy even when wet, if I remember correctly. 🤔

Good morning everyone! Starting the 2nd half of my very short weekends.
Coffee is ready. Help yourself!
I know there are a lot of bad things about social media. But I'm grateful for it. One is because I have all you lunkheads as friends. And sometimes I get to see some of you and have a lot of fun and do epic trail rides.
Also, I have been able to connect with a lot of widows and widowers. Some far, some near. Recently a group in NM. Went to dinner last week with some. And last night I met a few at a winery to watch a band and had a great time. This afternoon I'm meeting the 2 lady's to see another band.
Hope you all have a great day. Stay safe if you're in bad weather. Speaking of that, it hasn't been warm here at all.

Lucky for us the next obstacle "Ilene" was surprisingly dry. A Toyota we met on the trail had to stop there because he started to slide instead of lean.
We had rain on and off this day. Great trail.
Back home to sunny Arizona. When we left Moab yesterday the weather was perfect.
Except for Chicken corners the trails were awesome.
Monday, Bull Canyon/Day Canyon.
Tuesday, Seven Mile rim
Wednesday, 3D trail
Thursday, Jax Trax/Camino cliffs
Friday, Chicken corners.

Totally agree, historically the rich kids have found a way to avoid service altogether, or to service in a way in which they weren't at the tip of the spear.

Personally, I agree with Tony Benn's speech, and it holds true today as much as it did in 1998, if not more!

Looks like the running songs and related topics have run their course, so let us move forward to a new week…
It looks as if the Moab adventurers have made it home, and some of the pictures they are sharing are pretty amazing! Causes me to start getting excited for a trip to South Dakota in September… Lots to do between now and then, but it promises to be a great trip!
Currently here on the left coast we are enjoying a beautiful sunny-ish day and -30°, with a promise of a little cooler and maybe a day of rain mid-week…
Hoping everyone is getting a needed break today, and that the week ahead is fruitful!
