I thought y'all might like some photos of exploring the desert in New Mexico on Sunday. It was an easy ride with a lot of scenery and a few surprises...

When I think of the remote hinterlands of New Mexico I think of Walter White in his crappy RV meth lab out in the middle of nowhere cooking his dope. I'll take the US Southwest backcountry over a drug high everytime!

It’s been beautiful but too dry here for 10 days, and will likely continue with this pattern (sunny and 45° highs) for another week or so… Looking like anyone from @Darrel to @BostonBadlands with a pretty wide swath between them are about to get some serious weather… super cold, lots of snow across the mid-west, and dangerous transiting… If you are in harm’s way please be careful… If you want to play in your Bronco, find a Walmart parking lot and have at it, or heading into the hills if you are properly equipped. Be defensive on the roads, as people have a tendency to lose their minds when the roads get slick…

Fortunately for all those who will be stuck indoors between snow-shoveling moments, there should be a couple of pretty entertaining NFL games played on Saturday…. For me, I’ll be hoping and cheering for Seahawks and Patriots to have a rematch in February, but, as they say “that why they play the game”, and at this point anyone can win, though Denver is at a bit of a disadvantage having to start their backup QB… Good Luck to all four remaining teams…

Incidentally, @Wolf works a bit east of me, and lives further north. Beyond him, you've got New Hampshire, Maine, and the Maritimes.

I haven't had my Badlands in serious snow yet, so I'm looking forward. Ever since I bought it (May 2022) serious snow has been either north or south of us, leaving us with slush. I wonder if I can sign up for Uber really fast--My Bronco could make some good money this weekend! We had a humdinger of a blizzard in 2013. I had retired from BPD and was driving cab--Camry hybrids. The storm was big enough that they shut down city transit (rail & bus), and forbid "only essential workers" to be on the road. I drove a taxi double--24 hours straight--and cleaned up! But I did have to shovel myself out a few times. Those hybrids really stink in snow! (Especially two feet of it.)

Every NFC team left in the playoffs would be a rematch for the Patriots If they beat the Broncos next week...because they have been to so many Superbowls. It would be great to beat the Bears. Or the Seahawks again or the Rams for a third time. We're BAAACCCKKK!!!!

I mean people can say whatever but the fact is that he played better after the ball was inflated so I don't think it helped. And of all the Pats transgressions to focus on that one is pretty weak.

Happy Saturday morning! So, how did I get on an every-other-day routine?
Hopefully my rear bumper will be ordered today. Going with Rough Country. It is $300 cheaper than DV8 and his supplier can order from Rough Country. He is not going to mark up his price on the parts, so hopefully it is a little cheaper than retail. That is a FWB that I can enjoy!
I tried to put on new wiper blades. Good lord, could the instructions be less clear. And, yes, I know it is real easy. Lol
I've only gotten rain so far here. The mountain and east of it are getting some snow. Glad I decided to not go rock crawling today. The trail they are running today terrifies me. I did it in my Rubi, but I got out and made Jeff drive it up the last obstacle. The girl in front of me didn't follow the spotters direction and scared the heck out of me. I do want to do this trail, but not in the wet and snow.
