Good bye 2025! Get the F outta here.
Hello 2026! Happy New Year Bronco Nation Family!
Need to get ready to go play on the rocks today. 3 groups, 33 vehicles total, all playing in the same area. I'm going with the moderate/hard group.
And we all meet at Pucker Falls for lunch and a quick tribute to Jeff. I was going to spread some of ashes there, but I can't open the box yet.
Have a great day! Hug people!

Happy New Year from the left coast!, Kids!
Hoping those in the NorthCentral part of the country are starting to get some relief from the Blizzard conditions, and that those in California are getting to assess what Mother Nature left in the wake of last week’s flooding… Here in Washington roads are being repaired and our major highway through my berg is re-opening today with limited access across state… Good for skiers and businesses, but heavier volumes will cause the locals to start in with their whining about “non-locals usin‘ our highway” …

Hoping the new year brings you hope and health, and hoping conflicts both home and around the globe can be settled wits a minimum of drama and strife... (one can hope, yes?).

For Sonya and me, we are looking forward to a month in the sun in February, and planned Bronco trips to Moab and Sturgis, with a month-long visit from our island-bound grandkids slipped in between…. I’m not much of one for resolutions, but am committing to moving more, working on building the big muscles surrounding my new hinges, and dropping about 20-30 pounds…

That’s it from Gold Bar. Have an amazing day!

What a lucky lady, to get chauffeured around in such an elegant buggy in such a magnificent locale!
(Did I overlook anythingbody?)
That pic would work very well for a set of Christmas or greeting cards.

Did Jeff conquer this challenge?

Once, with assistance from a winch. He made it up far enough that backing down wasn't an option.
But this obstacle changes and it can be washed out giving a huge undercut to this water fall. Sometimes the bottom is filled with water.
Someone remembers a unimog making it. I think a friend made, but his buggy had a longer wheel base.

Good morning! My heart is very happy that I got to wheel the 1st day of the year. And I get to wheel the 2nd and 3rd day too.
My Bronco took a beating yesterday. But, it was fun to be on such a technically challenging trails yesterday. No shelf roads, no chance of rolling. Just maneuvering over and around a lot of big rocks.
Almost tore off driver side rear flare and then the step. Had to take the step off. At least it didn't damage the body. The flare is still firmly attached, just has a lot of rock rash.
But, I was not the only one that was damaged. The leader had to Grey tape her driver rear flare before heading home.
I was the only 4 door. There was 1 other Bronco, Base with SAS and he is on 37s.
One couple with us, each in their own Jeep. He just turned 80 and she isn't far behind.
Heads up, we have high wind warnings here this afternoon. May blow bad weather out there in the Midwest in a few days.
Have a good day all! Stay safe! Hug the ones you love!

I got a hand me down Brinco Flannel Shirt yesterday! I feel like one of the cool kids now.

What a cool shirt! All I could think was how they must've thrown down some white ink before hitting it with 4-color process inks to help keep the intensity of the colors. Well-made, however they managed to do it. 😎

Good morning! I've got a pot of Folgers coffee for anyone needing a cup.
So yesterday was fun! This is my 2nd time in the last 2 months to get to this area of NM, just west of Socorro. The views are stunning! There was also a slot canyon.
@Astronaut got a lot of photos. Maybe if we ask him real nice, he will post some.
I found a dent right next to passenger rear tail light. It had to have happened Thursday.
Then in the afternoon, I heard something hit the passenger seat. Couldn't figure out what it was. Then I saw the grab handle swinging back and forth.
Then my compressor blew a fuse while I was almost 1/2 done airing up.
Welp, can't wait to see what today brings! Going out to Riley Ghost Town today.
The weather here has been fabulous for January! A little windy yesterday, but sunny and in the 60's.
Hope you all have a great day, stay safe. Hug the ones you love!
No coffee meme. So picture of Jeff and I, circa 2015 or so.

Good Evening! As @Darrel mentioned, I got to go play in the Chupadero Mountains southwest of Soccoro, NM. But @Darrel was lucky enough to play all three days! It was a blast exploring that area. We encountered wide open spaces, very rocky mountain trails, stopped to explore an old mine, and a slot canyon too! It was just an incredibly beautiful day! Since @Darrel asked nicely, here are a few photos.

The Old Mine...

Taking a break...

Checking maps to decide whether to proceed or turn around...we pushed forward...

Taking a break before entering the slot canyon...

The gorgeous view after leaving the canyon headed to the air up point...

Welcome to the new year. We had a sxs run planned up to crown king AZ but one of the rigs broke and no parts so it got pushed out a week. I was good with that cuz a few weeks ago I fell and hurt my knee. I been trying to baby it, but I'm not good at slowing down. Louise has really wanted to take the bronco up there, but I don't have any bronco jeep runs planned for it. We have done that run so many times. But not in it's current condition.
So today was a simple car show with the Shelby. Amazing how many old guys have canes.

Have fun everyone.

2025 ended with a bang. On Dec 16th I learned that my Boss will be let go at the beginning of 2026. Merry Christmas? I am not supposed to know but we have been friends for 30 years and he told me the day after he found out. From the unofficial channels it sounds like they will be cutting about 5% of the company, which is about 70 people. Happy New Year? My Team is currently working a few million in projects, so I have no idea what managements plans are but they have to cut costs so they will still get thier EOY bonuses (Our Fiscal year ends in April). If you're the praying type please add me and my team to your list.
This week will be a hectic one.
