Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! I hope the weather gets better and the power is back on for our friends up in Michigan. I’ve lived in parts of the country where winter is bad, and it’s no fun. We are having a very mild winter in NM and that’s OK by me, so I can still explore the desert that I love. Yesterday I used Forscan to disable the fake bad ass engine exhaust sound, disable EQ, and change settings for the new coaxial speakers. I am pleasantly surprised by how much quieter my Bronco is. And OMG, I can’t believe how awesome the audio system is now…It sounds almost as good as the 11-speaker system in my RAM pickup.

Today I have to fill out forms for a follow up visit with my pediatrist tomorrow to ensure my toe is doing OK. Then look at a photo a lady wants blown up on canvas, box up and mail Christmas gifts my daughter did not have luggage room for, and pick up some groceries for my wife.

If you want snow here in New England, you gotta head north of the Merrimack River. Southern New England is just slush. I bought my 2022 Badlands in 2022, and have yet to drive it in serious snow.

Driving in snow is a blast, we did this in February of 2025!
Hoping to do it again in 2026!!!

You need to come and visit Michigan, or the New England States, the lack of sun and lots of snow will make you look as white as a ghost! 🤣🤣🤔

Great images--so jealous! Want to get out and see how my new KO2s perform.

One thing I'm partly amused, partly annoyed at, are TV ads where there are de reigeur shots of the car--could be a Priuis!--driving high-speed Baja style along what I'm sure is a very carefully checked out, obstacle-free road or playa. Then we get the image of it mastering a rock or two, then it does a wheelie and comes to a stop. Also: handsome young twenty-somethings enjoying a remote, scenic camping or picnic spot.

Those ads imply that the family SUV can get easily, safely, and comfortably deep into the wilderness--and will probably put more usage on off-road locales.

Your images are the real thing--nicely done. Would love to see videos if you have them! I read about the problem impact winter storm "Ezra" inflicted, so glad to see something positive.

Lucia and I went to the Mission Inn in Riverside, CA to celebrate our 10th anniversary. What an amazing place. they decorate like crazy for Christmas, that's for sure!

wind was crazy here all day and well actually still is whipping. Not much snow at all though, never seen so many power trucks in my life (outside deployments), they have been staged in almost every parking lot they could park in.

Actually those power trucks were deployed, only a civilian response group, not a military one.

Maybe it's like carrying an umbrella to ward off rain?

Great videos, thanks! What was underneath? Looks large for a paved area, you seemed to be confident of not hitting rocks or dips.
We got 1 ("one") --a-- snowfall with maybe three inches. I managed a few wheelies in the back end of the church parking lot, but even though my best was probably a little under 180 degrees, it freaked my wife out. So that was that.
Sigh, I'm about ready to try something radical. You have a guest bedroom there?
