GM from the island of Long. First measurable snow tonight. On the overnight. tThis evening we are headed to Jones Beach for the drive thru light display with the local Bronco group. Should be a fun time. That weather in PNW is crazy! Be safe up there! Silly season is really ramping up. Be careful on the roads. Drivers are very distracted this time of year.

The rivers are receding, and now we need MORE rain with lower snowfall levels in order to rebuild our snowpack… if not we will suffer next summer with serious drought… (yeah, we’re never happy, and very needy)… Ski areas are obviously delayed in opening for the season, and two of our east-west corridors across state are closed due to wash-outs and debris slides…

Anywhoo, looks like the sun will warm us up today and make it easier for people mucking out of the flood-mess. My project will be prepping a shop wall for a slat storage system… trying to get things up on walls and less taking up of limited floor space…

Just to confirm, @Astronaut did make it to the car show and Christmas party yesterday. Both were a lot of fun! But that Christmas party pot luck...man, this club likes food! The ribs were sooo good. Especially after being at another Christmas party at a steak house where I got soup so I would be hungry for the pot luck. It was worth it. The gift exchange is always a lot of fun.
I have plane tickets to fly to Indiana next Sunday. Still want to drive. But as @DEBO294 said, this is silly weather season. Need to talk to the neighbor about hiring their 12 yo daughter to check on the cats. May not be a good idea to take them with me if I drive.

I have plane tickets to fly to Indiana next Sunday. Still want to drive. But as @DEBO294 said, this is silly weather season. Need to talk to the neighbor about hiring their 12 yo daughter to check on the cats. May not be a good idea to take them with me if I drive.

Howdy from sunny Arizona. Just to extend summer we spent a few days south of the border in Mexico. We had Taco Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but we missed Taco Tuesday... Go figure.

Good Morning Everybody! ☀️ Now that it’s Taco Tuesday, Lots O Fords can have those Tuesday tacos! I just might have some later myself. I’m doing my daily infusion at the clinic, only one more week to go. Then helping my wife finish getting the house ready for Christmas. My daughter and granddaughter are arriving next Tuesday.

Good Taco Tuesday, Kids!
Our second atmospheric river (we used to just call it a bad rain storm) will start rolling in this afternoon, and we will be under flood warnings overnight once again. Probably the bigger issue will be high winds and over-saturated soil, which will mean downed trees and power outages… might finally get to use the Pro-power generator on my F150 hybrid…

Had my six-month tooth scraping and cleaning today, and my two baby teeth that have managed to make it to almost 70 years are hanging in nicely… I don’t particularly like going to the dentist, but learned that’s its pretty important for more than just “mouth health”… I once went for a stretch of maybe 10 years not visiting the dentist, and the work I had to do to rehabilitate my smile was pretty arduous…

Good Morning! I'm pretty sure it is Wednesday. I'm also going to get this post done in one take.
I have 9 more hours to complete for an organization that requires it for one of my designations. In the insurance world, this is THE designation to have.
So I purchased a course from them, no idea yet how many hours it gives. Went through all 19 modules and aced each quiz at the end of each module. Took the exam twice last night and flunked both times. Wth? One question asks a question on a word that isn't even in the study material. So, 1 question, I have a 25% chance of guessing the right answer. Ugggghhhh! So, I hope I am still within the window to retake it. There is a window, it just doesn't say what it is. I ❤️ insurance!
Al, keep that atmospheric river out of my path to Indiana. This is the thing that may make me get on an airplane. But, prayers to all in its path.
