Good morning all! There is a pot of coffee, that I have poured 2 cups out of already. But help yourself to what's left and pull up a chair and chill a bit.
Headed to -4° today, but nice and cool this morning.
I worked on my resume yesterday. I wish there was mention of cost before I got it done. And then I have to pay to use "word".
I registered for 16 hours of continuing education to keep 3 of my designations. It is a self paced webinar and cost $450. And I need to pay about $250 in dues. Good lordy!
I have to chime in on solar. The company we worked with took a dozen attempts getting inspections and permits. Jeff had to coordinate it finally. Then I was to get a critter guard and programmable thermostat or $250. Didn't get either. Bird poop and dead birds are getting old in keeping up with them. And the $4 to keep connected to electricity is now $16 a month. I need to work on solutions!
And the cemetery called me. I'm promised pricing by the end of the day. Hope it comes in.

Auction should be on-line now. I haven't looked yet.

Have a good day all! Prayers to those needing them. Hug the ones you love!

Other topic: You had to extract a cat from a box spring? I'll match and raise you three traumatized cats hiding....:
We had a small fire, lots of water damage, and are now living in a monthly furnished apartment. (Note: do you have relocation coverage in your insurance? Check!) So with firemen, then insurance people and everybody else, our three cats went into hiding. Our place has LOTS of hiding places. They came out for food, but we hardly ever saw them.

In desperation, my wife a.k.a. "Mommy Cat," spent the night on the sofa. Getting up several times during the night, she found their whereabouts. Our most reclusive cat was holed up--literally--in the hole in the wall the firemen chopped to get at the fire! They are now in our temporary (est: 6 months) apartments, even brought their 7-foot cat tree here. No places to hide, though.

Happy to read that the cats have been "rescued" and moved to their new digs; hoping they adjust well. 🙂

Chi-town started the day at -31 and is heading to -12. It's the Friday before the Air & Water Show weekend and the Air Force Thunderbirds have been practicing since yesterday. Spending time by our "oceanfront" beaches to watch the show will be great, except for the fact that we're looking at +1 temps tomorrow... 😐 might still swing by if I can find a quiet enough place to hang out.

If anybody is still interested in coffee, Kirkland Pacific Bold and Starbucks PIke Place is all I got at work. I will need a cup to keep me awake.

Finally completed wiring the the fogs and ditch lights and the GMRS radio to the Bronco. I planned to do a behind the glove box install but couldn't find a way to slip the head unit behind the glove box before my back threw in the towel. Also didn't pull out the center console so I could install an RJ45 port beside the USB ports. So still need to do some work on that. For now, the MXT575 is a "just there" install with power through AUX 6.

Here's keeping up with sending prayers and hugs to those wanting or needing it... we're still in your corner and rooting for you. ...and yes, F CANCER!

Please keep taking care of each other and yourself. 🙂

You got one over me on this! I can't imagine how traumatizing it was for your cats. I would have done the same as your wife did. And I've always been the spare human to our cats, until now.

Good morning! It's Saturday, it's the weekend! I made a pot of Seattle's Best. Help yourself.
Have a club meeting later today. In the summer, the meetings start with a pot luck dinner. Sorry, but I get excited when I can break bread with others.
I volunteered to come over and help the host get ready and she took me up on it. She is a widow and had a double mastectomy June 10th. And she is a kindergarten teacher and this was her 1st week back with the kiddos. She's been such a great support for me the last few months, so happy to be able to help her out.
Have a fantabulous day all! Thoughts, prays and hugs!

Something to tide us over until @Sven posts some toons

Good Saturday. Today is bronco weight day. The dog crates came out and the stuff for an upcoming trip to Colorado went in.
I'm loading it on my trailer, taking it to the scales.
I'm fussy about proper weight when towing and a level load.

So my goal today is to know where to place the bronco on the trailer for the correct tongue weight.

Good morning, Bronco people! It is a Saturday and Chi-town is heading to feels like temps of +5 with expected thunderstorms. Thanks for the first pot of java, @Darrel. 🙂

There’s a pot of BRC Tactisquatch for everyone’s refill or head out the door cup… brunch will most probly be something with 🍳 and 🥓🥓🥓🥓. 😂

Need to start moving shortly… heading to a friend’s shop to get skid plates installed. Hopefully, we finish quickly enough to avoid the heat.

Wishing everyone a great day ahead. Continuing to root for those dealing with ”stuff”. We are still at your corner. Please keep taking care of yourself and each other…🙂

Good Saturday Morning, Kids!
It appears here in the PNW the rain is waning and we’re in for 10 days of dry weather and warmer temps (for us)… -20’s are the forecast for the week, but we shall see…

I got my fuel tank armor (aluminum from RCI) and am looking at installing a Midland radio in or around the glove box, trying to decide on the 275 or 575… for compactness the 275 looks like a clear winner, but willing to consider comments if you have thots...
(15w vs 50w)…

Missing our Saturday morning ‘toons, @Sven , and hoping everyone who is dealing with “stuff” is “chin up, chest out, and remember to KFG”

Have a great weekend!

I'm in the MXT275 fan club. Although in all honesty, I never used the MXT575 so my recommendation is based solely on my experience with using the smaller (cheaper, less powerful) model. 😎

Have a 575 that I got because I thought the 50w would go a long way while using a stubby antenna. Also, it had a good price. Other than that, I still need some trail experience with it.

Good point! I also have the stubby antenna, but afterwards I picked up the longer-range wire antenna and added the external speaker to my roof MOLLE panel. Now, even at 2 out of 9 on the volume setting, everything is louder and clearer to me.

After the bronco weigh in, gym and dog play in the + something temp, I thought I heard something or someone calling my name. I kept looking around.

Turns out it was the pool. And it was waving a cold beer.

So nothing else got done.
