Still no word from dealer, as to what is going on with my rig, but I’d rather them take the time to actually find the thump and fix it, once and for all. About -10 to -12 today in the island of long with this still intense humidity. Can’t be out there for more than 10 minutes without feeling disgusting. Pool is definitely being used well this year. Howdy from cloudy Arizona. Yup we're going to get some rain. I been a busy beaver getting a dirt pad made before a monsoon storm. At least getting the good dirt above grade.

I'm on cup two and one more to go before hitting it.

Dealer update:
Tires are not shot. He was looking at the abrasion from Moab slick rock. Says, look how rough and uneven the wear is from the inside to the outside.” I’m like, “oh that? That’s from skipping tires on slick rock. Let’s measure the tread wear, I have a gauge in my pocket.” Lol. 14/32 of tread on both sides of the tread…so basically I’ve only lost 1/32 on the outside edges in 19K miles, not bad at all, lol.

I’ve had a thump when coming to a stop when the truck sits back on its haunches since new. Never got the mechanic to feel what I do…until today!!! So whatever that is will hopefully be addressed without too much BS. The thing that was most frustrating is the one service writer who used to work there…used to. He told me, “it’s a truck, it’s gonna have bumps and noises”. I’m like, “no, not for $100k!“ Yeah…he was fired. I hated that dude. But at least it can be addressed now!

I have a tear in the driver seat cushion that looks like it’s a cut. It’s not cut. It’s a stress tear. Showed the service rep. She agrees and will fight for me.

I read on another thread that they need to lube between the CV joint and the yolk. Can't wait to say that to my service writer without Jeff standing by me. Should go off without a hitch. 🤣

Good Thursday Morning, Kids!
Going to be a glorious day here in Western Washington with the temps MAYBE reaching -20 (likely -23ish)…

For those not in the know yet Sonya and I made the difficult decision to cancel our trip to Colorado over Labor Day with a bunch of you… All things health-wise are good, but life tossed some unexpected expenses our way that must take some priority (adult children are EXPENSIVE), and then yesterday on the hottest day of the year (so far) the compressor on our heat pump decided to quit working… Made me very glad I’m not living in Arizona this week… lol… Our little hiccups are nothing compared to what some of you are facing, so don’t take this post as grousing in any way… we adjust and keep moving forward… Life is amazingly good!

Anyway, we will continue to move forward and keep adding doodads and other necessary(?) mods to OB-1 and will look forward to catching up with folks somewhere down the road… Road trip at the end of October is still on, so will get a chance to see @Darrel in her natural state then!

I see we passed 42000 posts without much of a whimper or even a high five… its kind of incredible the website can even keep up!

Kirkland House Blend is brewing and filling the house with great smells… time to get some stuff done…
