Happy Hump Day all! Don't let me forget to take the trash out. Hope I still have a trash can after the wind event yesterday.
Hope everyone stayed safe with the wild weather in the Midwest. We have a chance of snow Friday. Any moisture works. But highs are only in the 50's for several days.
@BroncOitis got me on his April Fools post. I was thing oh no Skip, don't be a Lauri! Thank goodness Skip is way more level headed than Lauri.

Without getting too political, I was happy to see Wisconsin turn back the attempt by Musk to buy the State Supreme Court…. No matter your political bent, we‘ve gotta find a way to get money out of elections…

Looks like there is some amazing weather across the country, with snow and wet in the Great Lakes Region and record heat in the Deep South… Add rain and tornados across OK—-> Indiana and its going to be pretty exciting… Here in the PNW we’ll have just gray and a little wet, and then by the weekend sunshine and 70’s… Strap in!

Was so happy to see @Wolf stay up a little past his bedtime to push us over 40K posts… I so appreciate his eclectic and VAST breadth of music genres shared almost everyday! Thank you, @Wolf !

If you’re in Moab today keep your wheels (mostly) on the ground, and enjoy the wild temperature gyrations of the high desert (freezing at night, t-shorts during the day)…

Good morning everyone from a water logged Lower Michigan.
Thanks for the kick (coffee) in South end of a North bound Donkey,
I am sure a lot of you heard about the worst Ice Storm to ever hit the Northern part of Lower Michigan and pretty much all of the UP which left us with around a 1” of ice on everything.
They are still telling us not to come up and see if there was damage to your cottage or campers, a lot of the roads are still impassable.
There are so many broken power line poles and downed trees that they said it could be a Month or longer to get power restored.
Donna and I have already made plans a couple of Months ago to go up to our place to move out 5th Wheel back onto our spot come May 2nd.
Hopefully we will be cleared to go at that time.
Some of the pictures that Donna received show the tops of trees are stripped of their branches and looks like a hurricane went through.
At CCR their are many power lines down and broken poles, so we will have to wait and see if we can head up….

@BroncOitis Ice Storms are THE WORST! We don;t get a lot of really dicey weather but Ice Storms seem to be the flavor of choice around here, and the destruction of trees and stuff is pretty incredible…. Lots of severe weather screaming across the country today, with tornados and rain and flooding and record heat … Sheesh, someone REALLY pissed off Mother Nature…

It’s fun enjoying vicariously the shenanigans of those who made it to Moab this week… Looking forward to seeing pictures of the night run to Onion Creek when they are published. Appreciate @SlashRacer continuing to make the case for packing an “off-road” floor jack for those possible breakdowns in the racks…

Though much of the country is hunkering down in weird weather, here in the PNW we‘ll have sunshine and upper 50’s today, so I might even get a couple rigs washed today!

We had a horrible ice storm in Indianapolis in '87 or '88. We lost power before I got home from work. We had a wood burning stove, but no fan on it.
Laid in bed listening to transformers blowing and limbs snapping.
We had 2 pine trees in our front yard that were about 70' tall. Both looked like tooth picks. Luckily the limbs popped back up in a few days when the ice started melting.
Hard entertaining 2 boys that were 6 and 4 with no electricity.
