Speaking of a Rock and a Hard Place.

We (Team Leaders) have recently received a sheet of paper with many new rules or policies written on it.
I had to have a meeting with my guys this morning and run through all the new changes and updated policy changes..
A couple that come to mind are…..

*All personal items are to be left in your locker and not on the shop floor.
That means coats, hats, lunch boxes/bags, boots and anything else they consider not shop related.
• No cell phones will be left in plain sight, they must be put away.
If it is not work related they cannot be out or used.
•No documents on the floor unless they are a controlled document.
“That’s pretty much all of our documents that are not controlled that help us set up the machine's” 😳

This morning’s meeting was one of the longest I’ve had in years, about an hour.
Not happy employees at all……
One has already turned in his 2 week notice!!!

I am actually letting you all know, that my days on here in the morning will be limited.
I will try my best to jump in before I start my shift, I can’t be caught on my phone during work hours when I’m under set to higher standards.

I have no problems with watching Toons on a Saturday since only about 4 to 8 employees are there anyways, and it’s our “asked to come in Saturday’s.”
My boss has already told me that there’s never an issue on Saturday’s anyway.

I will see you all tomorrow morning for some Toons and Coffee.

This is what is believed to be the rock that the Plymouth Brethryn debarked on in Massachusetts in 1620. Its provenance is suspect. It was identified as such by a woman in the 1700s, who claimed that an old settle/survivor of the Plymouth Plantation (colony) identified it as such to her. Lots of people have chipped off souvenirs over the centuries.


It's about ten tons (two pieces, 4 & 6 tons respectively, as it broke when it was moved in 1774. It's about 1/3 its original size.
