A good day to not have to head north from home.


Park County, Montana

Park county is closing Swingly Road from Livingston to Mission Creek Road. Snow is drifting too fast and too deep for the graders to open up the road. We will be working with loaders to get the drifts under control but the road will remain closed until such time as it is safe to drive. We appreciate everyone’s patience with the large amount of snow and wind we have experienced.

The ice will keep my gravel from drifting.

Had a GREAT day today with Dean and Henry. We had 18”-20” of snow on the trail. Aired down to 15 psi to get down the trails.

Not a fan of thick crust 🍕 but whatever was leftover could be used as a pillow u til the next morning….. when cold pizza truly rocks!

Yesterday I actually started out working on the bronco roof rack storage for Moab.
Then the other four people going to Oktoberfest came over and we practiced drinking German beir. We stacked up the empty to see the favorite. A couple odd balls but Paulaner won.
Never got back to the bronco.

I was talking about the snow wheeling, but okay, that, too. You know we get cruddy winters in central New England--me, more (worse) than you.
What do you say we sell out of Massachusetts and start a commune of disgruntled ex-cops in Tennessee?

That actually sounds possible. I tried talking my wife into selling the house and going to South Carolina, but she said that she would want to go to Tennessee. We could call it Copville, because Copland has already been done.😂

By the way, I'm still a disgruntled active cop. Which makes me even more disgruntled.😂

Snow wheeling?!

Top of a Slow Maneuvering Monday everyone, not sure if this coffee that I am drinking is from Saturday or Sunday yet, I hope someone made lots of coffee this morning because I haven’t got to that side of town yet. 🤣

We ( @SlashRacer @Deano Bronc and I ) did do a lot of snow weeling on Saturday with about 2 feet of snow, we were pretty much the first ones on the trail, and in some areas where somebody must have turned around or just didn’t attempt to go through, we were the first ones through.
We all were so impressed at what these vehicles could do in pretty deep snow, not one of us got stuck, even at a point we had to stop to get the chainsaw out and cut a fallen tree down.
In a lot of areas we were pushing snow with our bumpers and dragging on the bottom, but we had no issues getting through…..

We have some Donuts for Everyone!

Got some fresh pods draining. Emeril’s Big Easy Bold to start. I thought we were going to get some decent snow this year on the island of Long, but alas, every storm petered out. Was hoping to do some snow wheeling, as Chunk hasn’t seen any real snow yet. Have a great day, hug the ones you love!
