When to sign up for Medicare
Most people sign up for Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance) when they're first eligible, typically at age 65.
It's important to sign up promptly to avoid gaps in coverage or late enrollment penalties. However, if you're already covered through an employer group health plan, it might make sense to sign up for Medicare later or delay Part B.If you are age 65 or older and receive Social Security benefits, you will be automatically enrolled in Part A.

Henry’s done and Skips taking over…

You don’t need insurance, if you got something wrong with you just deal with it!!!
It will save you all kinds of Lute!
Look at me , I drive with no insurance and every time I get into an accident and it’s my fault, I just put the pedal to the medal and get outta there..
“See you later A 🕳️ “ 🤣
However:
If it’s not your fault, it’s not your fault.
Did you know you can collect like $850 from their insurance company, it’ like having a second job, and it’s enough to make a small living on…. 🤣🤣😆😆

“Oh Henry,” you’re so stupid!!! 🤣

I guess the good news (if there is any) is that by the time Donna is done figuring out the best direction to go, she’ll have it all figured out for when I turn 65….🙂
...or die, whichever comes first. 😖

Best to educate yourself in your early 60s, and figure out as concrete as possible what your pension, savings, and other income(s) will be, what your core costs are, when your house or other major debts will be paid off, clear out credit card debt, and the timing and procedure for Medicare and other aspects of the (un)Affordable Health(ha!)Care Act will affect you.

Get and stay organized! Procrastination can mean missed deadlines, which will be very complicated and/or expensive.

Exactly @BostonBadlands!!!
If you’re getting ready to retire in 5 or 6 years, that’s the best time to work everything out before you retire.
Think about talking to retiring experts or better known as “Financial Advisor” everyone!!!
This is the year I plan on getting that all done.

I began collecting Social Security at 62, and so on my 65th birthday I was enrolled automatically in parts A&B. Sonya enrolled immediately at 65 (our birthdays are within two weeks of each other), and we retried from the state system at 65. Having worked in the public sector we were limited in our choices of advantage programs. You will likely also be limited by your pension system (if you have one) and/or your location (all insurance companies are not operating everywhere, and many times its different from county to county).

In the year before you become eligible, you may want to purchase a larger mailbox…. There is no junk mail like that sent out by Medicare Advantage Plans…

Sonya and I had many questions, and our options were limited by our retirement system… Pay attention to deadlines, open periods, and ask lots of questions… Best option? Find someone in your area whose run the gauntlet and survived…

For us we settled on United Health Care Advantage Complete, and couldn’t be happier…

Good Tuesday Evening, Kids, as I wrap up Testing Tuesday!

Hard to believe but its now been 6 weeks since Steve Austin 2.0 came into play, and about 19 weeks since SA 1.0 arrived. Today was face the music day with my surgeon on the second knee, and I must share I was a bit anxious as 2.0 has not been quite as smooth as 1.0 in terms of range of motion. The first thing my surgeon said when I shared my anxiety was that 2.0 was “well ahead” of the normal curve, and that 1.0 was unusual in his rate and smoothness of recovery… He suggested I not think of the two as “twins” but more as “brothers” who would heal and develop at different rates…. As long as I’m track for 20+ years of grandkid chasing without the pain of the last few years, I’m golden! My surgeon does want me to continue with PT for another 4-6 weeks so that we can continue to push the range of motion (evidently after a replacement surgery there is a “window” of time when motion range is best developed). Challenge Accepted…

Afternoon coffee is Caffe Verona and smells soooooo good. A brunch sandwich with brisket and egg is really hitting the spot, and there’s more to spare if anyone is interested…

Can’t believe I missed OB-1’s second birthday, and Darrel’s 3rd… I’m going to have to add them to my calendar in my phone, without which I can’t remember what day of the week it is…

Happy Day, All
Have a great day and be good to each other!

Good Wednesday Morning, Kids!
It is pea soup outside and hovering just above freezing… We are in the midst (mist) of a static inversion that is keeping the fog at the surface while the sun shines brightly up high…. Great for the ski areas, still sucks down here in the lowlands… but, the upside is, no real precipitation to be concerned with…

Hoping today will be the last of the severe wind in California and praying people will be able to get back in and see what‘s left of their homes and communities… The Great Lakes are getting some snow and everywhere else in the USA the weather seems to be “wet free”.. Be safe out there today!

😳
Same thing happened to me in “95” when I started watching the RedWings, everybody was saying that they will never see a cup in their life time, and I would agree with them.
Then Two years later as I was so into the Wings, they lifted up Lord Stanley for the first time since (I think it was) 1955.
Then I got into Football about when Wayne Fontes was starting to coach the Lions (88 or 89) and it wasn’t until 2010 or 2012 before I was really getting into the Lions, when everyone was saying they will never win “it’s the curse of the Lions,” and long and behold, 2nd year in a row that they are looking for those Rings!!!

Looks like we have a lot in common! 🤣😆😂🤔😳
