Good Tuesday Evening, Kids, as I wrap up Testing Tuesday!
Hard to believe but its now been 6 weeks since Steve Austin 2.0 came into play, and about 19 weeks since SA 1.0 arrived. Today was face the music day with my surgeon on the second knee, and I must share I was a bit anxious as 2.0 has not been quite as smooth as 1.0 in terms of range of motion. The first thing my surgeon said when I shared my anxiety was that 2.0 was “well ahead” of the normal curve, and that 1.0 was unusual in his rate and smoothness of recovery… He suggested I not think of the two as “twins” but more as “brothers” who would heal and develop at different rates…. As long as I’m track for 20+ years of grandkid chasing without the pain of the last few years, I’m golden! My surgeon does want me to continue with PT for another 4-6 weeks so that we can continue to push the range of motion (evidently after a replacement surgery there is a “window” of time when motion range is best developed). Challenge Accepted…
Afternoon coffee is Caffe Verona and smells soooooo good. A brunch sandwich with brisket and egg is really hitting the spot, and there’s more to spare if anyone is interested…
Can’t believe I missed OB-1’s second birthday, and Darrel’s 3rd… I’m going to have to add them to my calendar in my phone, without which I can’t remember what day of the week it is…
Happy Day, All
Have a great day and be good to each other!
