Hello Bronco Family. I got my 1st Edition not to long ago, and I was looking to upgrade my exhaust system. Let me know what you guys think, which brand sounds the best ? I saw this one on Youtube not sure about it though.

You're not going to make either engine sound "good" just louder.

Well, rather than sound like a pea shooter, it will sound like a .22. Certainly better than stock in my opinion.

Wait for downpipes, thats the biggest gains power wise next to a tune

I'll go for a tune first.
  1. no one can see that anything has been done
  2. don't have to wrench on anything

Youre better off doing them both at the same time, and I disagree, pop the hood and point it out. High flow or catless, you’ll smell more gas as well, and will sound better to boot

Can't do catless. In CT when they do the Emissions test they go under the car with a mirror and see if the cat is there, no cat you lose your license.

I can get the power I'm looking for with just the tune, no need to do anything else.

high flow cat then, just go from a fat bitch to a skinny malink. Think its a 5hp difference, not like you need every last pony anyway.

I always do HFC in Jerzy, my Rams cats were the size of coke cans and it was commercial, passed emissions with no issues

I plan on just cutting out the muffler and cat, I don't have emissions where I'm at.

Magnaflow Overland exhaust series. Let's you alter sound and reduce drone. Expensive though.

I don't want anyone seeing that any thing was done.Plus I don't want to mess with the exhaust system, I'm too old for that crap without a lift.
The tune for the Bronco should do want I want. I'm not spending a lot on the Bronco. Time or money. If I'm going to wrench on stuff I have an old tractor I want to restore.

Think on my old Audi, a Downpipe is 30hp

From American Muscle:

What Gains Will I See With an Upgraded Downpipe?
Installing an off-road downpipe on your Mustang will give you a gain of around 20-25 rear wheel horsepower if you already have a custom tune. You will gain even more power on a stock Mustang if you load a custom tune while installing your downpipe. For those of you that choose to go the catted route, you can expect to see about 5 RWHP less than an off-road downpipe, since the high flow catalytic converter will still restrict your exhaust a little bit.
Ecoboost Dyno Test
Which One Should I Choose?
Catted Downpipe:
  • Live in an emissions restrictive state
  • Want to keep your exhaust volume quiet
  • Do not want excess fuel smell
  • Do not want to risk getting a ticket
Off-road Downpipe:
  • Do not live in an emissions restrictive state
  • Want a loud exhaust
  • Do not mind excess fuel smell
  • Are not worried about getting a ticket
  • Looking for maximum power gains
