2022 Badlands

Hello everyone,

I have a 2 door 2022 Bronco Badlands.
I have nothing but good things to say since purchasing my Bronco new EXCEPT, I now am seeing cracks in the side of my driver's seat. I am only 186 pounds, so it is not like I am crushing the heck out of my seat when entering or leaving my vehicle. This is rather disturbing for a fairly new vehicle that I have "babied" since new.

Has anyone else seen this issue? I mentioned it to the dealer, but they looked at me and said there is nothing they can do since it is now out of warranty. Really disappointing especially since I expected more.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Kevin

Are these the MGV or leather ones?

Looks MGV to me. I have heard of this from a few folks on the interwebs. Unfortunately it is not super common so I doubt there will be a recall or anything. You have a few options you can get used seats from a junkyard, just slap on seat covers, or go with some Katzkins. I have the MGV with 62k on my MY22 and slide in and out of the Bronco and mine still are holding up well. But if they ever start to fail I will be adding Katzkins. Just my take.
BN 1100, Desert Sand Everglades. Reservation 7/30/20. ordered 1/22/21, reordered 10/15/21 dropped tow and hard top, reordered 3/9/22 changed to Everglades. production date 9/7/22 rescheduled 9/14/22 completed 9/26/22, shipped 10/7/22, arrived 10/31/22, delivered 11/03/22

Yes, that is correct, the seats are MGV. Happy to hear it is not common, but it will only get worse with time and it looks UGLY!!

I have 50k on my 2021 and yeah, I feel like I first noticed my cracking around 20k? Maybe even earlier. At first I tried not to slide out of my seat but as I've worn the Bronco in I've been less careful, to my shame. I used to "condition" them back then too.

My MGVs haven't cracked through yet, though, but they will one day. Even my passenger seat, which rarely gets a person, has the crease but no crack. However, they're taken mud and water like champs, so I don't regret getting this sweaty material at all 😅

My Jeeps all have had destroyed vinyl on the sides of their driver seats, so I feel like the Bronco will get the same patch method and I'll be fine, but I would for sure be disappointed by the bolster crack or the people who have tears at the stitching on the seat.

I did hear of people getting these easily replaced under warranty, but even if you did, seems like we would need it again at some point.
