Bronco Order Status

The big question is, did you reserve in July 2020? I could assume that you did, but not sure.

If not, then technically you could still have a huge chunk ahead of you in line.

After that is straightened out, then it turns to all the other things discussed around here. Your build, constraints, allocations and so on.

It literally took me approx. 16 months from time of reservation. Though from time of actual order, about 8 months. At the time I was around #86 as far as dealer allocation went, but I had less constraints than a big chunk of their orders (biggest one was going soft top for me).

I got email from Dealer and they reframe/reserve as below and I replied on that but not sure that is consider as reserve :

1) If you have no changes to your current reservation, just reply to this email by typing #1. Which will mean "no changes to my reservation, convert to 2022 as is".

2) If you do have any changes that you want to make and/or are required, go to Ford.com / Build & Price and attach the updated pdf with your changes to submit.

NOTE: if you chose the color(s) Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue or Rapid Red those are NO LONGER a 2022 option. You must pick a new color. They have added 2 new colors: Eruption Green or Hot Pepper Red

Note sure but this is insane waiting I ever seen specially FORD has other new vehicles lined for production and not taking care of existing issues for back order.

If you hear nothing then chances are nothing has changed. Ford tends to be very conservative about the emails they send out, and generally speaking you won't hear anything until your order status changes. Unfortunately for us the Bronco has proven to be extremely popular. They had 190,000 pre-orders as of December 2020, and Ford can only produce a maximum of around ~150,000 units per year. Bronco has only been in production since June 2021, so there is a lot of catching up Ford needs to do. Combine the fact that automobile manufacturers in general are having trouble producing vehicles due to the semiconductor shortages (and general supply chain constraints), and the result is a very long wait.

Within the next month you should find out if you are being pushed to a 2023 model year. Last day of scheduling for 2022 should occur the last week of August.

They already cut off 2022 orders the other day…. I’m “In Production”, waiting for “Built”!

There are 1 million Tesla cyber truck reservation holders since 2019. Four years and they are still waiting for their vehicle.

Bronco ordered July 2020 delivered this week, so 25 months. Most options, all naughty options. Bronco delayed a year due to top problem, then delayed for microchips for three months, then delayed three weeks awaiting drivers for shipment from railyard to dealership. Ford informs the minimum for a good reason: they do not know the answer for certain, and speculation will only result in bad press.

We could have received a soft-top same model Bronco minus one option 10 months ago, but we passed bc we have no interest in a soft top. Bronco feels fantastic, handles and rides beautifully, quite agile, build quality is obvious, rattle and squeak free.
