Looking for recommendations for early March around Moab for trails, hikes, and Parks. Stock '24 Heritage Limited Sasquatch 2 Door. May or may not bring the RTT but could and do have air down ability. We're noobs to the Moab area but attending Bronco Off Rodeo the first week of March. What would you do if you had two full days (Sat/Sun) to explore Moab in a Bronco?

You'll in for a great experience. Wifey & I did our Off-Roadeo last February. We also enjoyed nearby Arches Nat'l Park. There're lots to see, hikes and off-roading too.

Cheers

Welcome to the Nation! Yes get this book. Since you are new after BOR you will have a good understanding of what you and your Bronco can do. but you don't want to over do it, unless you meet up with some folks I would stay away from Hells revenge not a difficult trail but if you don't do something right it could be disastrous, need a good spotter, I would also avoid Fins N things again not really hard but there are a few technical sections that if you are new will make you very nervous again a good spotter or front camera for those sections would be a good help. Some good easy-ish trails would be Gemini Bridges- the Bridges are pretty cool, Long Canyon (pucker pass), Potash to Shafer trail (if you have seen Thelma and Louise there is a famous scene shot here) Hidden Spire Kinda confusing trail and easy to get off track but that is the fun of the Bronco getting lost and finding something new. Too many things to see and do with only two days but you will get a taste and you will be back. We spent a week there in July and will be heading back this spring. here is a little wright up about Hells Revenge in a stock Bronco. https://thebronconation.com/news/touring-moabs-hells-revenge-in-an-everglades-t.21024/

Hit "The Broken Oar" for dinner one night! Red Cliffs next to Off-Roadeo has great food as well. You will be HUNGRY after a full day of driving.

Dewey’s is a great locals spot, with very good food. That should be on your list.

LOL we did the same thing. went there one day for a late lunch and there were two things I wanted to try, so we came back the next day for dinner. if we knew about it earlier we would have probably eaten there a few more times. Also there is a little French Bakery in the same shopping center that is amazing.

Yes, the French Bakery was excellent also.

Sweet Cravings and Bistro was recommended by Blake. https://www.cravemoab.com/
I stopped there to get a sandwich for lunch out on the trail. It was amazing. Unfortunately it opens at 8am so its a no go if you want to get an early start.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

Onion Creek and SevenMile are both great as well. You have a LOT to choose from. I also recommend that if you want to check out Arches, go in the "back way". No reservation needed, and you can hit some trails and see some arches that "regular folks" don't get to see as well. Here's the OnX map that I used when I led that run while we were there. https://webmap.onxmaps.com/offroad/share/content?share_id=01HQ1EZFE1JA0Z6PZYSWFQG5W2

Speaking of OnX, I highly recommend it for your offroad adventures. Think of it as Google Maps for offroad. You can get a 30% discount by using the code trailguide30 at checkout.

I must agree with the others. If you leave Moab without visiting Arches National Park, you will be disappointed. It is amazing! Dewey's is a nice place to enjoy a diverse menu and their staff is very friendly.

I'm sure you will have an absolute BLAST on the Bronco Off-Roadeo. It's an incredible experience every Bronco owner should enjoy!
Chris here. I drive a Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. BRONCO NATION and YouTube are all the social media I need.

I agree… I’ve been to Moab twice, and part of the impetus for going the second time was missing out on Arches the first time…. Now it will be on the itinerary EVERY time I go to Moab…

Yup, and if you go in the back way you get to see Eye of the Whale Arch, which a lot of the tourists don't get to see that are there in "regular" cars. You also get to see Tower Arch up close and personal without a LONG hike.

That's great, but I've also gotten lazy in my old age. Oh, and Tower Arch 4x4 Trail is a FUN trail. Not too difficult, especially going in that direction, but still has a coupe of obstacles you can have some fun with without worrying about damaging your Bronco.

We didn’t get to do the back way they had several inches of rain the day before we got there and they said it is because of the mud easy to get stuck so since we were solo we opted not to risk it. Hopefully we make it this go around.
