I've been wanting to do telegraph line trail up by scottsdale, the last couple of weeks, but it keeps raining on the weekends that I am open to do it. I have on X off-road. And have read the trail reports. And i've watched a couple of youtube videos of people doing the trail, and I think I can do it, but the problem is, none of my friends who have rigs that can do this trail can go when I can go, so it's basically gonna be just me.

I do have a 2022 badlands, manual transmission but it is nonsasqatch and not lifted or modified in any appreciable way, so it's 33 inch KO2s, with like 80% tread. I'm trying to figure out if it would be okay for me to do the trail alone or if I really should wait for 1 of my buddies to be able to come with me.

Also, has anyone done this trail recently If it's wet? Because I'm going to be hanging tires a lot it seems, and while I do have front and rear lockers, if they're just spinning in the mud its not really gonna help. I don't want to get stuck in one of the many moguls or ravines alone because of that not toention its a 1 way trail so no turning around and I feel like thats my only big worry and i can make it otherwise.

It looks like it's a pretty well worn and packed down trail, but all the videos and everything I read about doesn't mention how it is wet.

I really want to do it. It looks like a lot of fun. And I really like the idea of it not being super rocky and bumpy on a long trail. I've had a couple head injuries, and I get motion sickness and headaches, real easy. And this sounds like a great trail. I could do where I don't have to worry about that. Like i did senators highway from prescott to crown king and me, and my dog had to pull over a few times because it was so bumpy.

anyways thanks for any advice from those that have done it. Pic is me and my goober/navigator (we get lost a lot).

I have done this trail with Arizona Broncos. I think in 2025. Very good trail with some intermediate to difficult sections but very doable. Now with all the rain and a lot more coming this weekend, I would wait for it to dry out before going. I would definitely go with at least one other rig as it is always good to be safe. Reach out to Arizona Bronco’s on FB. They do a lot of trail pre running.
