Nice shots, I'm jealous! What's the history of that tunnel? Glad you didn't encounter any oncoming traffic! I cringed a little as you navigated that rock outrcropping on your driver's side, coming out. Good line there--tight--nicely done.

Nice! I'm in the midwest, in suburbia. No place close by for a sweet morning drive like that. I think I need to move, lol...

It’s an area along the river where they mined coal. There are 3 tunnels on the trail. They cut through so they could bring the coal down to the river to load on barges. In a few places you can still see the timber from the rail bed and trestles that crossed the creek.
