Gobblers Knob

After multiple attempts to find an open route to Gobblers Knob in the Tillamook State Forest we finally find success. Because of private logging lands to the south of Gobblers Knob it's not uncommon to find locked gates preventing access to the area. But north of Barney Reservoir it's a mix of state and BLM lands which are typically open. In addition the North Fork Trask River area is quite spectacular.

There are a couple of videos showing previous attempts. Which reinforces that just because you don't reach a planned destination you can't still have an incredible time.
