The Bronco and I went out in the Oregon desert to return to an old bunker. This time I came armed with a metal detector to see what we could find. Also, went back to an old homestead and detected there finding some cool stuff. Wrapped up the trip with some desert solo camping and whisky. Enjoy!

I didn't know Oregon had a desert. Doesn't seem quite fair. After all they already have mountains and their associated vistas. They have Pacific coastlines with photogenic rock formations. They have lots of trees and fresh air. They have a very comfortable year round climate. Now you're telling me they have deserts as well? Oh wait... they're intersected by a potentially fatal volcanic range. Hmmmm.... ok, you can have the deserts, too. ENJOY!

I love the Oregon desert. I grew up on the Western side of Oregon with the forests. The desert is a refreshing change of scenery. The best part is, Oregon is mostly desert, so you can explore for a lifetime and never see the whole thing!
