Radio and communication

I am curious what Radios or communication everyone prefers to use when out on the trail or with an envoy.

Do you prefer truck mounted or portable?

I figure it may be a good time to see what everyone uses or like while out on the trails.

Im actually hoping that theres going to be room behind the glove box area / up in the dash, to mount the radio there... The one I have sitting on a shelf waiting to get installed has a remote face that can be put anywhere... nothing like out of site out of mind for the win...

Our Icom has a remote face, what are you running?

for GMRS I have this sitting on a shelf waiting to get installed... I've got this HT for Ham/DMR and other uses. Considering adding a remote ICOM or Yaesu unit, just havent fully decided yet.. :)
