Rail Car Tracking

I’m hoping there may be a current or former rail road employee who can help me! I have been tracking my rail car since it left MAP. It’s original date and destination was Dixiana, South Carolina (auto unloading yard) on July 7th. My rail car ended up being “bad ordered” and sat in Latonia, KY for 5 days then relocated to Louisville, KY for repair. This obviously slowed the process down, so it reached the final destination of Dixiana on July 10.
My question is this: since reaching the destination to be unloaded on July 10, the automated message says “Placed at industry”. It has not updated in a week. Is my Bronco sitting on a rail car unloaded for an entire week?! My dealer says they can see scheduled convoy pick up from the rail yard between 7/20-7/22. Will they wait until it’s closer to time to unload this rail car or what in the world is going on?
If anyone has any information, it would calm my nerves! Thanks guys.

It was delivered 7/21! It sat in the rail car at the final destination for 8 days prior to being unloaded. After being unloaded, it sat for 2 and was picked up and delivered on the 3rd day. Total of 11 days in the final rail yard before delivery.

Wow my brothers salesman told him the same thing it depends on where in the lot they off load it. it could be the first off the rail car but last onto a transport a few days later. That pretty much matches your description.
Congratulations she is a Beaut.

Does anyone know what this means? “Arrived 8/3 5:33am” “Arrive at industry 8/4”. Coming to Austin, TX via Union Pacific BNSF301684. I’m clueless! Thank you for any answers!

“Arrived at industry” means it is at its final rail yard destination where it should be unloaded and transported by a truck to your dealer.

Hey that's awesome. You know, I do get it when reading posts of anxious owners awaiting their vehicle, but I love the fact that when the vehicle arrives everyone says how it was totally worth the wait!

Congratulations! It looks awesome and ready to ride.

I know this is a strange question but do those Toyos smell funny? I had Open Country AT3 on my F250 and before I had them installed I had them in my garage a few weeks and those things smelled weird. Not like normal new tire smell. When I replaced them they were still smelly just not as pungent. It was a great tire other than that. Switched to the Cooper Evolution MTs

I haven’t noted a scent at all. That’s strange!

I have been tracking the rails. It’s getting close. How do you track/know when it’s been put on the trailer or still sitting in the rail yard?

You don’t. When your railcar is unloaded, that’s the end of you knowing anything until it arrives at your dealership. Good luck!
