RagnarKon said:Yeah @BuckYeah is correct, wash out flooring is standard on Badlands just like it is on Big Bend.
What you lose by going with Badlands non-Sas:
- A very minor 0.43” lift. Less than half of an inch.
- 35 inch tires
- Beadlock-capable wheels
What you gain by going Badlands:
- Sway-bar disconnect
- LED signature lighting
It’s worth noting the Sasquatch wheels are only beadlock-capable, they are not actually beadlock wheels. The rings you get from the factory is just a trim piece because it’s against federal regulations to sell true beadlock wheels from the factory. So if you want to actually make them beadlock wheels that’s another ~$1000 (link).
The reason why I’m suggesting Badlands is because wheels and tires are super easy to add on aftermarket. Adding the sway-bar disconnect system is practically impossible.
But obviously the choice is up to you. Whichever you choose, I’d definitely make sure they ordered the manual transmission, because it’s not currently possible to place a 2023MY retail order for a manual. It’s possible they could have just placed a dummy order and left it un-buildable, but I wouldn’t want an automatic to show up when you ordered a manual.

As a lot of folks have found out switching wheels and tires is anything but super easy. Lifts, wheels, tires, gears, suspension compromises and potentially losing warranty coverage. Big bucks. But your right about that sway-bar disconnect.
The Sasquatch package is king. That is unless you crave 37”s or more. Then it’s a can of worms just like the rest.

I do agree that lifts may be complicated for some people. That is especially true when you go above 2" of lift. BUT, you don't need 2" of lift for 35s. On Badlands you actually don't need any lift or gearing changes at all—it's literally just wheels and tires. And now that I think about it more... you don't even need wheels, some of the more "pizza cutter" 35s sizes (ie. 35x11.50R17) fit on the factory wheels just fine.
If wheels and tires is too complicated for that particular person... then yes, I 100% agree, Sasquatch is king. Pay the ~$9,000 upgrade price, get Sasquatch from the factory, and move on.

Yes mostly true if it’s a 7 speed Badlands. Not Automatic. How about the extra wheel articulation of the standard Badlands? Wheel rub with 35”s?
These forums are full of people that thought they could out smart a Sasquatch.😉

There is always the lure to just spend a little more lol. Have to cut it off somewhere and just going with my gut. I just want a base, 4cyl, manual and sas packet. This would have cost me about $35k 2 years ago at sticker price. Now $50k. FU Ford lol.

A lot of good information. You make great videos!I hear that for sure. I was doing research this week for my 2024 manual transmission buyers guide that just went live this morning.
That forced me to look at the prices... and... wow... it's just... it's insane. It was hard to stay happy and upbeat about the whole thing when I'm looking at these prices going "yeah... this is nuts, I don't think I afford to buy what I bought last year".

No rub on the non-Sas Badlands trim with HOSS 2.0—you have to remove the crash bars obviously, but that's it. The other trims with HOSS 1.0 do have some minor rub though.
I have been told that the non-Sasquatch Badlands actually has more articulation because it doesn't have a bump stop that the Sasquatch package Bronco has. I don't have a Sasquatch Bronco to stare at, so I'm not sure what bump stop they are referring to. But I'm skeptical about that claim, and I haven't measured it personally. Logically it should be very similar given there is less than a 0.5" different in suspension heights on the Badlands and Sasquatch.
Which brings up something I've been meaning to ask. Can someone with the Sasquatch package look at their suspension and tell me if there is a bump stop?

Looked under my Sasquatch and saw no sign of bump stops, front or rear.
I could be wrong here but aren’t the bump stops internal to the shocks? At least that is what I remember reading.

Yeah it's integrated into the coilover.
While I was sitting in a doctor's office waiting room yesterday I tried to find the post I was reading that compared the Sasquatch to non-Sasquatch. Pretty sure it was a Bronco 6g post, but of course I couldn't find it. Closest one I could find was this one.
