In the midst of my original order I have moved from Texas to Georgia and loving it! However I need to update my order to the 2023 and would like to move it to a dealer in Georgia. Any suggestions on how to do that without losing ground and suggestions on north Georgia dealer to do that with?

I've never heard of changing dealers. If they're a good dealer I'd just stick with them. I'm in Nevada and the dealer I'm ordering from is in New Mexico.

You can change dealers, but you will effectively be starting over. There have been certain exceptions Ford has made in the past (such as a dealer going out of business), but generally speaking there is no way to change dealers.

What you can do is explore the option of a "courtesy delivery". Effectively you buy a vehicle from one dealer and it is delivered to a second dealer. Not every dealer is willing to do that though, and some dealers are only willing to do it if they are provided an extra delivery fee. But that would be something you'd have to work out with your dealer and a dealer local to you once you move.

Option B is to ask if your dealer does deliveries. Many dealers have car hauling companies they work with for people who buy vehicles out of state, and they may be willing to ship the vehicle to you.

I called Ford customer support and asked if it can be changed, the answer I got was that once it goes from a reservation to an order the dealer cannot be changed. So I will keep working with the one in Texas and keep hope that someday I will get a Bronco...

Moved from FL to OK during my 2-year wait. WT is now at FL dealer ready for pick-up but not without exploring a dealer transfer first. No luck. Dealers are still stuck in 1950 and haven't figured out how to capitalize in the day and age of Amazon, Uber, Grubhub, etc. It's all about the money (and allocation formula). Dealers would rather have their customers spend out-of-pocket to pick-up their order than figure out customer service.

Yeah a lot of dealers are stuck in the past. But a lot of dealers are really good and do delivery.

Cannot be stressed enough just how important your dealer selection is when ordering a vehicle.

Agreed, there are good dealers out there. Mine did offer delivery at a price more than a one-way ticket, hotel and 2-day drive gas. I suppose the concept of dealerships themselves is what's outdated. Just have online orders delivered to service center of your choice. All the money is still in play, but the industry just made customer service job one.

Hey I'm in Reno too! Corwin told me 3 years MINIMUM. What a joke. Took my business to Gallagher, where we've established a relationship over the years, in January and my Bronco is currently in production. Sad to hear you cancelled your order though.

I am using them too. They have been good to work with thus far, but their communication is a bit slow.

Yah Corwins a joke. Just like their 8 month weight time for warranty work. Have to drive out to Carson City now and still wait a month. The dealers here need to get a grip. With a town this big we need another dealer.

Thought I should update this: Dealer was at least smart upfront and did not cancel my order right away. So when I got the notice to update the order, so I called and we worked it out quickly. We removed the Tow Package as that appears to be one of the biggest items keeping orders from moving to production dates. Then on Oct 5th I received a production date for Nov. 14th. It has since moved to Nov. 21st. We have also worked out dealer having it setup to register in Georgia and not Texas so I don't have to register and pay double taxes. Thanks everyone for your support here!
