How long will YOU wait

Mostly for the new orders (01/22-02/22). How long are you willing to wait to get a VIN# / production date. I understand once you receive the VIN# that the wait doesn't get any easier( mostly due to the ability to track the vehicle), but not knowing if you'll be 23MY or 24MY sucks too. For me currently I drive an older model Tacoma that is in good shape, wife drives a 2020 vehicle, so I'm not in need of a vehicle, just desire the Bonco. IF( big if ) the automotive industry picks back up in the latter half of 2022 are you going to be more inclined to buy something else, until Ford gets better production numbers and you can go to the dealership and look at a couple of different Bronco models, colors, packages, ect.
Just curious.

In my opinion, it's a good idea to wait it out and keep a reservation if someone is in your position. You'll have to eventually get in line for this truck....plus you'll pay MSRP instead of walking on the lot and getting a mark up once they become available.

I'm a 2nd day reservation holder and thought about cancelling my reservation and getting something else MANY times. The fact is, I will always want this vehicle. Even if I cancelled I would always want a new Bronco - So here I am waiting it out.

I recently sold my RAV4 and made a killing off of used car market and bought a little 04' VW GTI until my Bronco is delivered. My wife has a great daily and we are in no [Need] for another car.

If you really want one and you are planning on keeping it for a long time....wait for it. Waiting sucks (going on my second year) but it'll be worth it.

I'm waiting for as long as it takes. I just got a great deal on a '06 TJ Rubi that I'll drive around until the Bronco comes in. I should be able to get my $$ back on the TJ...or just keep it. I'm saving $$ every month so by the time the Bronco is ready, who knows.

I am waiting, but that doesn't mean I am happy about it. It better not be a lemon. Will love my GTI and hubs' Rubi until then!

I ordered in October, so I’m waiting patiently. Anyways the waiting is advantageous because you can save up some more money for a down payment !

Waiting as long as I can. I want my bronco, but my 18 year old f150 gets rustier every day. 19 months and counting.
If I get pushed to 2023, hopefully the mod tops are still on schedule.
Manual BD 2 door, tow, roof rails, standard package. Reserve #1031xxx 7/20/20, ordered 3/6/21, reordered 11/16/21. Got the golden email 3/3/22, build scheduled week of 3/21/22.

I ordered in October and will wait as long as my current ride holds out. I think the forums have a tendency to make things seem worse than they are. Production has been going for less than a year, and numbers have been steadily been getting better each month. They were actually pretty impressive the last few months. There are a bunch of negatives like chips, deadly sins list, transportation issues etc. but I think they’ll improve this year.

I'm in no hurry. So I'll wait it out as long as it takes. Maybe I'll get rolled into a 2023 and they will offer Grabber Blue as a color. Would make the wait so sweet.

Love your optimism! Can you tell me what numbers you are referencing and where you find them. I would love to see some broad numbers ticking off to help me remain optimistic, too!

I drive a Jeep now

I sold my 2018 Jeep JLU early last year to get top dollar for it. I grabbed a new 2021 Toyota RAV4 off the lot for far below MSRP. That is holding me over until the Bronco. However, if the rumored 2023 4Runner releases with a modern fuel efficient engine, I might go with that instead. I have a VIN and a tentative build date, so Ford would have to drop the ball quite a bit before I abandon ship for a 4Runner.

I don’t want to go back to a Jeep Wrangler if I can help it.

Once Upon a Time, I believed I ordered a Bronco.

It was hot day in July, or perhaps a cool day for August? I went directly to my dealer and it was the best of times. We laughed and talked of wild Horses and a time when this salesperson was just a twinkle in his father's eye ... I estimate about 12 years ago. The salesperson and I bonded as brothers, talked Bronco specs, chose a color and then parted ways. Many moons passed and the day came when I received a call ... "We have your Bronco". o_O

I remember that moment like it was yesterday. My wife and I were in the F150 on our way to the lake. The sun was shining, birds singing, and the words "Black Diamond" echoed on the breeze. I asked the salesperson to go over the specs and sure enough, this was MY Bronco. I asked for confirmation of the price and gasped ... "How much?!", I cried. I heard "fifty six" and began yelling, perhaps in a language not of this earth. I then asked "How did we get from 46 to 56?" and the snarky young man - my brother - went on to educate me... "We are marking up all new Broncos $10,000". The urge to ram the car in front of me was overwhelming but I was able to maintain control and soothed myself by contemplating the young man's mortality ... "WHY?" I snapped. "Because we can", the young, snarky salesperson replied and continued on with a lesson on Supply and Demand. Apparently there never was a Bronco order for Sal.

Time passed. Spring turned Summer, Summer to Fall...and then Winter came... I think more time passed and another year. My wife and I never spoke of the Bronco again, and not once did I think about burning that dealership to the ground. I continued to drive my F150 and soon began hating the truck as it was adorned with Ford logos. The day came when I considered buying a Subaru. I am forever changed.

It was just another day at work when a conversation spontaneously erupts between a coworker and I. He says Bronco, I start blurting out obscenities and being crying as I corner him. My colleague, while somewhat stunned and perhaps frightened, goes on to explain our local dealership is under new ownership - good family - and recommends I pay them a visit. We have not spoken since that day but I am forever greatful for that moment we shared.

That weekend I visited the local Ford dealership - still standing but with a different name on the building - and placed an order for a 2022 Ford Bronco Black Diamond. I received an email confirming my order before I left the dealership. I also sold my F150 and needed a ride home.

How long will I wait?

As long as Trader Joe's carries $6 per liter imported Italian wine I will wait... Forever...

Here’s the post of last month’s production. Nothing crazy, but way better than last summer and fall.

All these timeframes are interesting. My order was placed Friday for a 2.3L manual big bend with hard-top and no other accessories or add-on’s. Multiple dealerships here have said that the hard top issue has been resolved and with my particular build it should be built and shipped around 6 months. I also live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I’m just very surprised to see people expecting late this year or into 2023 to see something happen. Is this also because of other additions like upgrading to mid packages and such that would cause these longer timeframes? I wasn’t trying to avoid issues with manufacturing but I’m certainly glad I stuck more basic from everything I’m reading here today.

At this very moment I am on the Ford site building another Bronco ... why? I am wondering if a lesser equipped Bronco might result in an earlier delivery date along with saving me a few dollars.

When it gets here, it will be here! I think Yogi said that once, and not the bear. As I've bored folks before, I have a good Jeep to use, more money in my pocket for now. Not wasting my time trying to track it. My dealer has told me, twice, MSRP. If they change their mind they can have it and I will launch a media blitz against them the best I can. Just found out I have a family member that is no longer in remission. I'll bet she's worried about my truck. I get the excitement, but not the over all concern for a truck. We worship the wrong things in IMO. OK...my2¢...I'm done.

Have a good rest of the day!
