Ford had no intention of only building customer reserved Broncos prior to Dealer delivered Broncos available for sale at your local dealer!
Ford had no intention of following timestamp build process they also promised on launch day!

This is why Im pissed!

100% Agree, the "time stamp reservation" was a marketing gimmick that they knew would drive sales and A lot of us bought it, myself included.
Sad companies cant just be transparent and honest these days, anything to make an extra buck or two!

I’m still confused why they just didn’t knock out the First Editions? Why build all the random models?

I disagree.

I believe they had interest in stirring up interest in the vehicle, but they had no idea it would have SO MUCH INTEREST.

Who in their right mind would want to promise a vehicle to a loyal customer base(Bronco Nation Crew etc..) and turn around every fortnight and issue a disappointing communique based on issues that may or may not be beyond their control?

I don't ever think the plan was to push dealer stock. I think they wanted to honor the faithful loyalists, by giving them a first shot at that diesel wet dream we all saw back in '04. But covid got in the way and threw the biggest curve ball the auto industry ever saw.

We have had build issues due to supply problems (across the product line) and I am sure that Ford has had an earful from the dealers due to a lack of inventory available for sale for every product line. They are probably appeasing their customers on this(dealerships).

COVID was obviously an issue but it's starting to look like Ford was the least prepared of all the auto manufacturers to deal with it.

This is crazy that dealer will gets theirs first. My dealer “I only have x allocations “ you are not going to get yours and your a 99 code ….but now they will get ones to sell before mine. So stupid…really thinking about just getting a Jeep

Ford offered a second bronco to dealers a couple of weeks ago. If the are so far off on build and delivery with loyal customers why push yourself back further by offering dealers an additional bronco?

The fact that I’ve been waiting for my bronco for years and I did everything Ford told me to do to get it as quickly as possible and now I learn that some random spoiled little girl is gonna go daddy daddy I want that one and just buy one off the dealer lot months before I get mine that I waited for really pisses me off

It makes perfect sense to me. I am pretty sure FEs mean first MY special edition, not “pay a ton of money that most people don’t have to ensure you get yours before anyone else” edition.

I could do an FE if I wanted, but the BD is my choice and I don’t want to be deliberately placed behind others who ordered after me but want to spend more money. That’s why the FE argument falls flat and the dealer open availability argument is so frustrating. Because in two weeks, many of us will have spent a year in reservation purgatory, not even knowing when their order will be scheduled for production.

Hey ND, I would say, based on what I have been reading, that all of the auto manufacturers are having supply issues with, like Ford, huge delays in their ability to provide vehicles to their dealers and customers. This is NOT just a Ford thing...

Ford doesn't give 2 shits about a secured (reservation order) customer, as they do a first Bronco on the lot customer!! Otherwise, dealers wouldn't be getting "demos" to sell before all their "allocations" to reserved customers!!

2nd Bronco? Huh? 2nd demo?
The fact is Ford has come up with a reason to allow dealer to order and sell lot Broncos prior to all reservations being built. To me this is jacked up! Bush League move by Ford!

That’s fair. It could be bias as I’m not following other carmakers. But could very well be true too.

Yes 2nd FCTP they have to offer to all reservation holders before they can sell after the 6 month waiting period.

I've been taking care of all by Bronco business with my dealer via email, the dealership is about 100 miles away. We were driving through by the dealer today and I stopped in and they're in the dark. They have no idea when a demo will arrive or if one will. They've got 18 allocations and none have a vin as of yet, not even the one priority build.

So....All of you are buying a bronco because of some status symbol you feel it has? Is that why your mad? I want to get mine as fast as I can get it as well, but I understand that the dealer models aren't going to be what I want from mine. If you want one that bad, just buy the dealer spec model when it comes in and cancel your order. Otherwise.....GROW UP. Stuff happens. A made up pandemic playing on the fears and insecurities of a emotionally fragile populace has triggered some setbacks. You really thought it wouldn't? When I take delivery of my Bronco, I want it to be what I choose to have, not settle just to be "the first" to have one.

No. I’m buying to drive it. On and off road. No top no doors, that’s why I want it this summer.
Im upset as Ford will build orders for dealer lots before reservations that have already been waiting a year!
