Dear Ford, please help if you are listening?

Dear Ford,

We need your help.

We know you listen and respond at times on Bronco Nation.

My Raptor was supposed to be delivered last week. It wasn't. Please Ford if you are listening get us those plastic seat belt clips so we can experience all you have prepared for us with the Raptor off Rodeo and the awesome Bronco you have built for us. You must be frustrated as well.

The real frustration is no one knows anything. We are just left in limbo. Our dealer isn't sure what is happening. We are getting as much information from the internet as possible and this is what I have determined is going on. Broncos and Bronco Raptors are not shipping. Correct? If they are they will sit at the dealer until the recall is fixed. Correct? We are waiting on a plastic clip for the seat belts. Correct? As well some are saying this clip won't be ready until December. Correct?
December? It can't be so. This is the problem. No one knows anything.

All and all it seems we are left to try and figure out through the internet what is happening and take pieces of information from here and there and try to piece it together.

Any information from you dear Ford, would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: July 19th - I understand if you don't respond. There is an official company line which needs to be respected and that area is probably not something you have control over or want to comment on. I get it. All good. I don't want to put you in a tough spot. Thanks for listening and perhaps you could relay some of our concerns.

So it is confirmed with my dealer. My very expensive Raptor which I was hanging on last week awaiting a phone call because it was supposed to ship (as confirmed by my dealer speaking with Ford about the shipment- It has been out of production since May 5th and just sitting there) is now sitting at Ford still awaiting a cheap plastic clip for the seat belt recall. It seems it will stay there until a fix or it will ship with no fix if Ford runs out of room. Our best bet is to get it fixed at Ford before it ships. I am hoping Ford gets on this and gets it fixed ASAP. I hope I don't go back to the end of the shipping line once they complete the recall but who knows. There is no way to find when this may get fixed and shipped. I think the poll above from @BostonBadlands is appropriate. It is absurd that we are not adult enough to put on a seat belt or not put on a seat belt because it may be too much effort. Wow...you can't write this stuff.

I have accepted the situation and I am now back to forgetting about it. Kinda tough as modifications keep getting shipped in. Just got my sill plate protectors yesterday and bought a 21 mm socket (rims) for the truck specifically to add with my torque wrench. Two other items are on the way. I have readied my Black Diamond, put the stock antenna back on, removed all my off road gear. Removed my "autostop eliminator" and a few other things. Well at least I am prepared for the phone call......Ford.....it's all up to you. I'm ready.

Can't unfortunately. Federal regulations prevent it.

This is not a "do-not-drive" recall, so if Ford could have you sign a waiver and take delivery, I betcha they would. BUT, they can't.

This completely blows my mind... who reported this issue? Chrysler??

Yes for sure. I know a lot of Ranchers, cowboys/cowgirls and they don't wear seatbelts. They drive around and never think of them. They put a latch in the buckle with no belt on it to stop any sensor. I always put my belt on with them and not once have they said why are you doing that or seem to mind in any way and I have never asked them why they don't wear belts. I just figure that is how they roll.

If you've ever had to get out every 100 yards to open and shut a gate or fix fence or chop weeds down, you'd understand. 😂 LOL! I wouldn't drive to town that way, but I would 100% disable it for around-the-farm (or ranch) use.

In Boston, they're bolting rubbery pilons into pavement all over the place to force traffic here, not there etc.
It's a perfectionistic mindset prone to over-engineering: "If it saves one life..." is the rationale, but it makes life much more difficult for everybody else.

That said, I do love the engineering that went into the Bronco. What a complicated world we live in!

It is hard to understand this complicated world sometimes. I stay out of it and am happier for doing so. I do get sucked into man's world on occasion and it makes me realize why I stay out of it.

The Bronco is an awesome feat of engineering. Good on Ford.

I had the same thought. For fear of them not letting me drive off with my Bronco that I would hold off on elective service on the Bronco until the parts are readily available.
Lucky we just had the oil changed.

Yeah, I've been having them do oil changes for warranty documentation but I'm thinking I might have a non Ford shop do it. I'm not at risk but I change it early especially with forced induction applications.

After three model years worth of orders mine was just delivered to my dealer only to hear that it will be sitting until December. Nice to have to wait and the dealer will be using my bronco as a showroom for almost six months while they tell everyone what a piece of crap it is and maybe someday they'll be able to sell and drive this heap.

Luckily I have the Bronco Off Rodeo, two yeti coolers, two yeti mugs, flags, artwork, calendar, hammock, playing cards, sweatshirt, hat, and I sure I forgot some more "free" garbage that accounts for the third price increase since I ordered this junker.

Wonder if this over hyped shit box will be a total maintenance whore once I receive it. The morons that built it can't even design a seat belt. What an awesome ongoing advertisement for Jeep.

Science can be corrupted and politicized. Plenty of legitimate climatologists disagree with the "global warming" hypothesis, but the media march in lockstep with the official narrative. The founder of the Sierra Club doesn't buy into it. France's official national weatherman came out against it--and was promptly fired--a lesson to all would-be heretics.
You've said your piece. I've said mine. Neither of us is persuaded otherwise. I suggest we drop the subject and enjoy our Broncos.
