Good afternoon, just wanted to vent my frustration to a loyal group. As a long - time watcher of the Bronco Nation forums, this is my first post. In a nutshell, I ordered a 2021 Bronco Big Bend back in late 2020. Formal order in March 2021 prior to deadlines to keep my place in line. I did a vehicle order change in July 2021 to match precisely what Ford corporate said would be the first vehicles to be produced....scaled down 2.3L Bronco without any hardtop, towing hitches, sasquatch, etc.. within a few weeks, got a production date set for September 7th week by Ford Corporate. Since that date, I have received 7, yes SEVEN, production date revisions by corporate...3 in the last 4 weeks. I am now set for week of December 6th, 2021. Are you joking me? I have not seen any other forum member post that they had 7 production date changes for the precise, easy to produce Bronco they alerted us to back in July 2021. What the heck is going on?????? Zero complications for my simple Big Bend order. Ford seems to be sticking with my 2021 model year, despite the fact 2022 models are coming off the assembly line and being delivered to dealerships. Can they do that???? shouldn't my model now be a 2022 current model being produced!!

For the record, my ford dealership, Randall Reed planet ford 635 in Garland, TX has been great. Suzanne Baker is the GSM and has been golden. She sends all my complaints to the Ford Rep for their dealership and whoever that is, is plain awful. Not a single response to Suzanne or I's questions or explanations. Suzanne has confirmed in writing they will keep the MSRP pricing on my Bronco, despite reading what other dealerships nationally are doing to their customers by raising prices to market price. Also, she has offered me the full $1,000 toward customer appreciation dollars that Ford released to their dealerships months ago. And she even offered me a 2022 Ford Bronco they just received last week in Race Red color that they received with no customer tagged to it, because she felt horrible about Ford's issue with my vehicle order. I had to decline the new Bronco, as my wife is adamant about the Cactus Gray and the production date was set for December 2nd, 2 weeks away. Today, Ford changed the order to week of December 6th. My first time ordering a Ford, and absolutely my last. this is how they treat their customers who have waited a year for the vehicle??? I emailed the corporate Ford team to complain...of course, not a single reply for months now. So tempted to call it a day and buy a Jeep off the floor. Horrible experience I am having.

That's a bit crazy, especially for that build. The only thing I've seen that really seems to push out build dates has been the MIC hard top. I switched my BaseSquatch & BIL's Big Bend both to soft tops back in August and promptly got September build dates. Which Ford then pushed to middle of October build dates. But we both have our Broncos now. Both came with 2.7l. Base came with Squatch (obviously as noted previously) and Big Bend came with tow package.

Definitely odd that your build keeps getting pushed. Sorry to hear it.

I know. I really wanted the MIC Hardtop to be able to use rack systems. I can add a tow system non-OEM. Seems some companies are now at least offering some soft top rack systems, so I can live with a soft top at least until the hard tops are available to order. but I need a Bronco first! LOL.

Maybe you should see the sign. Sometimes there’s a reason. Good luck with your decision.

Are you sure the delivered bronco is a 2022? Ford is not currently producing 2022 for retail customers, that is scheduled to start mid December and may get pushed. It would also be odd for them to have a vehicle that they do not know who it is for. Planet Ford is a big corporate dealership with lots of locations. I've bought vehicles from them in the past because they had what I wanted in the system, but it was not the best experience.... lots of bs and bad sales tactics. Glad your experience is good.
At least you have a build date... there are 10 of thousands that have been just hoping for one of those.....

Manufacturing companies, whether autos or not, have their hands tied with supply issues. I know everyone is sick of hearing it, but it is true. My husband is an owner of a small manufacturing company (completely unrelated to autos) and it's really stressful for us because we really want to be there for our customers too but everything is so complicated and backed up now.

Deep down, it is my belief that Ford doesn't want anything more than to get Broncos into people's hands. I had a wonderful time with the "Drive the Bronco Experience" and the "Bronco Off-Roadeo" and the feeling that I got is that Ford is really wanting the best for their customers. This is a massive undertaking and no one could've foreseen that Broncos would be coming out at the same time as a global pandemic.

I'm hoping that my build date of 11/22 happens, but right now it won't even take my order & VIN #'s to log in to track . So trying not to panic too much, but it is what it is .

FYI on Model Year 2022. My dealer knows it is a Model Year 2022 that was delivered, not a 2021. She has received dozens of '21s for customers who were early in ordering in July of 2020 and similar. Real world delivery. 'Not tagged' to a customer could mean it is a dealer order received to demo rides or showcase to the public. Truly not sure, but doesn't matter in my case. I heard the same about delivery of a 2022 Bronco...not supposed to hit until December'ish, but there are posts of people receiving them, not just on order. Seems everything about the Bronco is like a unicorn...people saying they exist, but nobody we know has ever seen one. LOL. FYI...had I not changed my initial order to fit the Ford 'perfect order to receive first' mantra, I am sure I would still be waiting to get a production order, like the 10's of thousands that ordered after me or didn't change their order and knew the consequences. I have empathy for ALL of us in line. Such a unique time in history for new car orders. Sucks, because the Bronco really is a unique and capable enough vehicle to hold out for.

That's tough, Yoderman. I'm glad to hear your dealer is working so hard to support you in this. I'm glad we have a place here to vent when needed, and I do hope you and all the others waiting 16 months or close to it get their build date and Bronco soon. An easy check is let's get the VIN and that will tell us 100% what Ford says it is and no one else matters at that point.

What is YOUR VIN? Do the tracking sites say it's a 2021? Then you'll get yours built before the end of the year, any day now. My build date was bumped to the right about 4 times, each time a week or two. But it's being shipped now. If you have a 2021 VIN, you should be getting a window sticker about 1-5 days before your build week. Then you know it's really happening.

I stand corrected on the MY 2022 race red Bronco the dealer received late last week. I asked my dealer again this evening to validate based on the responses on this post, they checked the VIN, and sure enough...it is a MY 2021. Dealer misspoke and was confident it was a '22, as it had some different features similar '21s didn't get delivered with. Also, I should have shared that a big part of my frustration is that I had a leased 2nd car for my wife that ended in March 2021...I extended the lease out twice into late September (as long as dealership would let me), but had to turn it in. Down to my one car (I am a field rep, so use my company car daily). Thought I would for sure have a Bronco by then as I made the changes Ford said to make to hit 'first-out' build dates. Kept getting 'teaser' production date notices...I wound up having to buy my wife a new vespa in October due to daily hassles of having one car and two daily drivers in the H/H. Man, I could have tricked out my Bronco with aftermarket goodies for what I dished out on the Vespa. One positive for all of us still in the waiting line....many of the aftermarket accessory companies are just now coming out to market with cool bumpers, winch systems, lights, etc.. that I like much better than the initial small amount of accessory options we had in August thru October (Ford and 4WP...with a wait for those parts also). It is only going to get better as time clicks on to trick out our Broncos to our personal liking. SO MANY ways to accessorize the Bronco..I need a bigger paycheck!! I promise not to gloat once I finally get my Bronco....I know how it feels being the guy still waiting while others are loving their Broncos. paper cuts.
