Here in Bronco Nation, we recently covered the 2025 Bronco Sport color palette and now let’s discuss the different trims, and sub-packages that are or soon will be available. There are so many options out there that it’s easy to get confused about what is a trim versus a package.

In this article, we’ll dive into the 2025 trims which include the Big Bend, Heritage, Free Wheeling, Outer Banks, and Badlands as well as packages like the Sasquatch and Black Diamond.

There is not a Base Bronco Sport for 2025, so I am starting at the trim with the lowest starting price and moving up to the most expensive.

The Big Bend

Considered the 2025 entry trim, the Big Bend offers a solid foundation for drivers who want a capable and stylish vehicle that is fuel efficient and affordable. I’ve seen several Big Bend Sports in the off-roading scene, and they do a great job.

The Big Bend, like many of the other trims, is available in 8 colors. Standard features include:

  • 1.5L EcoBoost® engine with 180 horsepower
  • 8-speed automatic transmission
  • 5 Selectable G.O.A.T modes
  • Standard 4x4 drivetrain
  • SYNC® 4 infotainment system with a 13.2”-inch touchscreen
  • Ford Co-Pilot360™ Assist+ safety features

Base Price: $29,995

Black Diamond Package: +$2,570 Right now, Ford is offering a $750 discount, bringing the cost down to $1820.

The Black Diamond package takes the Big Bend up a notch, offering rugged features and critical underbody protection without breaking the bank. Key features include:

  • Auxiliary switches and wiring
  • 110V AC Power Outlet
  • Second Row Rubberized Seatback Mat
  • Steel plated Front and Rear Bumpers
  • Brush guard
  • Skid Plates
  • Recovery hooks front and rear
  • Unique Black Diamond badging and darkened accents for a more aggressive look.

This package provides excellent value for those who want essential off-road features without the premium price tag of higher trims. As I mentioned in my previous article, the Black Diamond is the best bang for your buck, especially with the current discount.

Free Wheeling

Base Price: $33,135

The Free Wheeling Sport is a fancy, eye catching, retro-looking Big Bend with a bold color palette inside and out. Available in 6 body colors, all Free Wheeling Sports have vibrant graphic striping in red, orange, and yellow on the hood, and sides, and a silver accent on the cargo gate.

There is also a silver grill and ebony and racing red accented wheels. The Free Wheeling is a unique option and my guess is, won’t be available for much longer. The interior is ebony, but the seating has ombre stitching with Sunset Weave Cloth Seats. If you love color, this is the Sport for you.

Heritage

Base Price: $34,990

The Heritage trim is also based on the Big Bend platform but offers an exterior look that is a throwback to the first year 1966 classic Bronco.

It too is eye catching with features such as white painted wheels, a white roof, white grill with red lettering, and original Bronco paint colors like Robin Egg Blue. Interior features include navy pier colored plaid cloth seats. Another unique look and choice, but they seem to be popular as I see a lot of them out there.

Outer Banks

 Base Price: $35,195

The Outer Banks trim offers a refined interior with a rugged exterior and is considered more of a luxury choice.

Colors are the same 8 offered in the Big Bend trim but interior colors are a choice between Platinum Blue or Ebony Roast. The 18” wheels are unique to the Outer Bank trim. Standard features include:

  • 1.5L EcoBoost® engine with 180 horsepower
  • 8-speed automatic transmission
  • 5 Selectable G.O.A.T modes
  • Standard 4x4 drivetrain
  • 18” Ebony Black Painted Wheels
  • Premium Trimmed Seats with Front Heated Seats
  • Heated and Premium Wrapped Steering Wheel
  • Painted Shadow Black Roof

Sasquatch Package Upgrade: +$5,230 ($40,425) (Currently available for pre-order)

The addition of the Sasquatch package transforms this trim into an adventure-ready machine. Key off-road enhancements include:

  • HOSS 2.0 Off-Road Suspension
  • Advanced 4X4
  • Twin Clutch Rear Drive Unit
  • Trail Control with One-Pedal

The Outer Banks Sasquatch trim strikes a balance between style and ruggedness, making it ideal for weekend warriors who want comfort on the road and capability on the trail.

Badlands

Base Price: $40,115

For enthusiasts who want to spend more time off-roading, the Badlands trim is the ultimate Bronco Sport experience. With the Sasquatch package, it becomes even more formidable. Key standard features include:

  • 2.0L EcoBoost® engine-the only trim with a 4-cylinder engine
  • Advanced 4x4 with twin-clutch rear-drive unit
  • Trail Control™ (off-road cruise control), plus 1-pedal drive.

Sasquatch Package Upgrade: +$2,990 ($43,105) Currently this is available for pre-order, production units will be ready in early 2025.

Sasquatch Enhancements to the Badlands Trim includes:

  • Bilstein® Position Sensitive Dampers
  • 850W Engine Cooling Fan Exterior:
  • Steel plated Rear Bumpers
  • Brush Guard
  • High Clearance Fender Flares
  • Class II Trailer Tow Package with Trailer Sway Control & full-size spare
  • Fender Tiedowns
  • Recover hooks, (2) Front, (2) Rear
  • 17” Ebony Black-painted Aluminum Wheels
  • 235/65R17 All-Terrain (A/T) Tire.

The Badlands Sasquatch is designed to conquer more challenging terrains while providing drivers with confidence and control.

Which Trim Is Right for You?

  • Choose Outer Banks Sasquatch if you want to combine luxury and off-road capability in one package. The Outer Banks Sasquatch is the first non-Badlands or Special Edition Sport that has the RDU (rear locker) and first for the 1.5L EcoBoost.
  • Opt for Badlands Sasquatch if maximum off-road performance in the Sport is your top priority. The Badlands Sasquatch has G.O.A.T modes like Rally and Rockcrawl, along with upgraded suspension, shocks, and A/T tires.
  • Pick the Black Diamond Upgrade for Big Bend if you’re looking for an affordable way to get some rugged features in a more trail ready rig. This is a great choice and great value in a fun vehicle and the first time these types of options have been available from Ford for the Big Bend trim.
