Ford has updated the Bronco Build & Price configurator with Job 2 changes. Dealers were informed of them in a Friday note and a call Monday. For those unfamiliar, Ford splits the model year production into Job 1 and Job 2, allowing for adjustments in equipment and options. Beginning today, customers will be able to order these new packages, wheel options, and more on their vehicle. Some additions –– like body-color matching and painted tops –– will be welcomed, while others, like paint pricing increases, will be met with less excitement.

Read through these updates, and if you’re ordering a vehicle this year, be sure to review your web-based dealer ordering (WBDO) system printout and dealer order receipt acknowledgement (DORA) carefully, and before you are assigned a VIN, to avoid any “I thought I was getting …” surprises.

Job 2 updates are estimated to begin production in July.

Bronco Raptor Black Appearance Package

2024 Ford Bronco Raptor Black Appearance Package

Introduced earlier this month, the $4,995 Black Appearance Package (order code 51B) for the Raptor comes with a Shadow Black painted roof and mirror caps, a painted roll bar, low gloss black fender flares, and a matte black front skid plate. Tow hooks and the steel bumper are matte black as well. A hood decal and optional side graphic (50N) round out the package.

The Black Appearance Package can't be paired with Shadow Black paint. However, if you want a black Raptor, and you're after the Shadow Black painted top, you can specify your Bronco this way and have a makeshift appearance package of sorts. You will be missing some goodies, though.

Body-Color Matched Hard Tops

Another addition to 24MY (model year) for Bronco Raptor only is the option for a body-color matched top (order code 43T). Optioning this for your order will give you the sound deadening headliner, rear-window defroster and washer, and storage bag for the front row top panels.

Shadow Black Painted Hard Top + Painted Dual Tops

Expanding into other Bronco trims is the long-awaited Shadow Black painted hard top (order code 43J) with new headliner panels. The top will be available on 4-door orders of Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Raptor.

Pair it with the soft top for the Painted Dual Tops option (order code 43D).

Want to save a little on your Bronco build? Go with the soft top; Ford has built in a $500 discount to Build & Price for doing so.

Now Extra Cost: Five Paint Colors

2024 Bronco Raptor Shelter Green Paint

On the topic of paint, five paint colors are now an extra cost option:

  • Velocity Blue Metallic (+$295)
  • Eruption Green Metallic (+$295)
  • Cactus Gray (+$295)
  • Race Red (+$295)
  • Shelter Green (available on Bronco Raptor only) (+$295)

One New Paint Color

Peak Blue, recently spotted, enters the mix for Heritage Limited Editions. This is the last year of HLEs, so if you like the color, get in contact with your dealer (HLEs cannot be ordered).

Headliner Change

The sound deadening headliner has been both an option and standard throughout the Gen 6 history and trims. It’s back to an option for 4-doors only on Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Everglades. Two-door versions of these trims will receive it as standard, and it remains standard on the only-comes-in-4-doors Raptor. If you’re after a 4-door of the listed trims and want the dampening material, be sure to have your dealer option it onto your order.

Sasquatch Package Wheel Change

Ford is now offering two alternate Sasquatch Packages, based on the wheels. Everglades’ 17” Carbonized Gray-Painted Alloy wheels become the new standard Sasquatch wheel (order code 76R) on all trims except Wildtrak and Heritage/Heritage Limited.

The former Sas wheel, the 17” Black High Gloss- Painted Aluminum with Warm Alloy Beauty Ring, Beadlock Capable (765), is now optional on Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, and Badlands for the Sasquatch Package.

New Non-Sas Tire Option for Badlands

Ford will be offering a new LT285/70R17 Mud-Terrain (M/T) Tires (33”) option on Badlands.

Raptor-Style Running Boards Available

Bronco Raptor Running Boards

The Bronco Raptor’s style of running boards plus rock rail (18J) will now be an option for Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, and Badlands. This addition is only available for 4-door Broncos.

Questions? Comments?

That wraps up the major 24MY Job 2 changes. If you've been playing around on Build & Price, did you spot others? What are you most excited with or bummed about? If you have an order in currently and no VIN, will you be contacting your dealer to make some changes?

For more information on pricing, watch Bronco Nation member Tim Bartz's video on the changes.
