Wow, I have to ask, what is the purpose of this vehicle?
It looks good. It sounds good. It's big. Bigger is better. Right?
Well, not really. At some point too big/too wide is too big/too wide for the application. The Bronco is ALREADY a big truck. This Bronco Raptor concept is HUGE. I couldn't even wheel this out on the east coast, where I live. It wouldn't fit on any of the serpentine trails. At all! You could get away with it in the desert as a Desert Runner, sure. And a fair number of trails out west. But so could the normal Bronco. As soon as it gets even a little tight, this thing is way too wide.
Is this just an encroachment on the Raptor? I think it's a cool truck, but this is a Bronco, right? How many Jeeps OR Broncos are really designed for desert running? It seems to miss the mark of the vehicle's prime function.
I have zero interest in high speed desert running. I live on the east coast and I like rock crawling. That's what Jeeps are made for. That's what the Bronco is supposed to compete with.
As a result I'm sort of anticipating the Raptor Bronco to be sort of a mall crawler. Looks and sounds great, is decent off the line, and all of that, but functionally limited. I just can't figure out how and why I would ever use this vehicle as opposed to the normal Bronco.
