I ordered on 16 October 2021, and I have not received this email. No email from Ford beyond my initial order confirmation.
I believe it went out to reservation holders and converted orders before the March 2021 cut off date. Thales that had gotten the price protection guarantee

I didn't reserve/order until August 12, 2021 and I received the email. Not trying to correct you. Just sharing, so we can get a better handle on who should/should not have received the email.

That, Mr. Blaylock is par for course around here. Count your blessings, because most of us have come to realize that nothing good ever comes from a Ford email. Now, that may have been misleading, so I’ll clarify……you may get what you think is good news from Ford, but it is almost always balanced with a disproportionate amount of bad news. Here are some examples of “balanced” ford messages over the many, many months:

(I’m paraphrasing a bit since I can’t be bothered with looking up these communications word for word)

Ford: Ford will produce your Bronco in reservation order….depending on trim, region (allocation) and parts availability.

Good news/Bad news: All, anyone initially heard was “reservation order”, but as with all things Ford, the devil is in the details…..allocation and parts availability became the entire ball of wax here. Thousands of day 1 reservations still without a scheduled build. My first 10 minute day one reservation is not yet in my driveway.

Ford: We are giving all reservation holders free sound deadening headliner……..Yay! And we all rejoiced. Ford does love us.

Good news/bad news. Until a short time later when it was revealed if you wanted to get your Bronco built in 2021 you had to switch to a floppy top….so, since you can’t affix a sound deadening headliner to a soft top It was like being promised a free “yesterday”, or “tomorrow”. …..goodbye headliner. Oh, and goodbye 2021 2dr’s since Ford doesn’t even offer a 2dr soft top.

Ford: hold onto your hats ladies and gents, Ford is offering a new capability for the WT in the form of HOSS 3.0!!!! F$&k yeah!!!!

Good news/bad news: Did we mention that if you have a VIN assigned you don’t qualify….and if your VIN currently resides at ICE Mountain, buried in snow, twiddling away it’s hairy Sasquatch digits while waiting 120days for chips, well you don’t qualify either. Oh, and if you have a Reservation, but haven’t been scheduled then you can get the new HOSS system on your WT….F$&k Yeah! except you can’t order it until after the mid year price increase, so the $2515 HOSS price will actually cost you north of $5k once you forfeit your 2 rounds of “Price Protection”. But noobies without a reservation, you’re cool. The line starts here.

Ford: Congratulations Kerry (be careful if the communique ever uses your name) your Bronco is Scheduled with an EDD of 13 Feb….just in time to take your honey out for a Valentine’s Day spin in your Race Red WT

Good news/bad news: We built your Bronco, but ran clean out of chips and will have to hold your Bronco in an ice covered, (vermin infested?) Lot along with several thousand Bronco buddies. So, as soon as we get more chips, we’ll slap them in your Bronco and have it on a train to your dealership lickety split……well, what we meant was, we’ll complete your build after we complete the thousands of Broncos fresh off the line, and those several months into the future first.

This is all true, but mixed with some tongue in cheek harmless venting. I could go on and on, but you get the point.
Sometimes, Mr. Blaylock, the best letter from Ford is the one you don’t receive. Cheers all!

I think I may have figured it out. Ford opened up the order banks for MY 22 on 10/13/21 and @Bob Blaylock placed his order on 10/16/21. Everyone before that had originally ordered a MY 21 vehicle. Or Ford hasn’t notified everyone yet! :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I called Ford and they have my order, proper email address....and no reasons for why I didn't get the email. They said I should have gotten it, but rest assured I am just waiting to be pulled for production. Very friendly, though

So far, the only email that I have ever received from Ford was the one confirming my order that I received within a few hours after placing it.

I' figuring that the next email I receive will be the one that tells me I've had a VIN and a build-date assigned. That will surely be good news. Of course, there'll probably b bad news emails after that, telling me that my build date has been pushed farther away, but that won't be bad enough news to offset the good news of having a build date in the first place.

I knew going into this that it was going to be an exercise in patience; and patience is not one of my prominent virtues.

Funny thing is that ever since we test drove a Bronco, and ordered ours, my wife has been more impatient than I have been.
May the Ford be with you, always.

My inheritance came in after the ordering closed for the 2021 model year, so, yes, I ordered as soon as I reasonably could after ordering opened for 2022. I've figured that I wanted a 2022, anyway. I'm figuring that the 2021 are the “beta test” units, that would reveal all sorts of bugs that hopefully will be corrected for the 2022 model year.
May the Ford be with you, always.

I was a late reservation 10/26/20. So I always expected a MY22. Now with the state of world affairs I don’t even know if I am gonna get a MY22. I’m not even sure I’m gonna get a MY23

Are you kidding, if there was just one, there would be numerous posts and threads and forums and news articles about it!:ROFLMAO:[/QUOTE]

It’s always a possibility! I grew up in Southfield Michigan. Once we get closer to spring and the little mouses get frisky there is no telling what can happen.
The good news if my memory serves there aren’t too many sound deadening panels under the hood of the bronco. That seams to be the first place I have had troubles with sitting vehicles.
I am sure there are tons of inspections and prevention before those vehicles are shipped out. Can you imagine being on the teams that have to deal with those vehicles?!

If they’d like some help figuring out the pricing they could do the live stream and we’d fill them in…..it’s been on the B&P tool for several days now. :)

I'd really like to get a solid answer on how price protection applies to the HOSS 3.0 orders for Wildtrak. Im seeing lots of contradictory info, but if I just add it to my existing build without price protection its like a 5K difference. For the record, Im a Fall '20 WT reservation, March 10 '21 WT order, October '21 WT reorder, and would be a March 9 '22 WT modification.

Also, and not borrowing trouble here, but if/when I get pushed to '23 am I still looking at Price Protection? What if Hoss 3.0 is standard on the WT then? What if it is standard on the '23, but I added it on the '22 and it took me out of price protection. Lots of variables that are making me paranoid here...

It certainly appears as if the order banks opening simultaneously with the date of the price hike, that it might lend itself to losing price protection. Even at that, it’s still a good deal for the WT with a steel bumper, Fox shocks, tie rods and Braptor steering rack. However, if you lose the MY22.5 Price Price Protection do you also lose the Certificate for the bumper changing from a BL to a WT certificate that was worth $975 late last year?Perhaps the team will answer those type of questions during the live stream. I would expect the worst and hope for the best.

My completely unconfirmed guess is the old model year 2022 prices will remain valid until March 7th. After that Ford will pause on taking new orders for 2022. If they are able to catch up later this year, they'll reopen the order banks for 2022 with the new increased pricing. My second guess is price increases went into effect today, which coincides with the other price increases Ford made to many of their other models a few weeks ago. BUT, both are just a guess at this point.

Supposedly Ford is updating the FAQ page tomorrow, and @Laura mentioned in another post that Bronco Nation is going to try to do a live stream with someone from the Ford Bronco team as soon as tomorrow. So hopefully we'll get more information then.
I went to the dealer today to change my order... upgraded to SAS (now no slide-out tailgate, incompatible with OBX SAS) and preemptively pulled the PPF. Pricing stayed the same. in the FORD FAQ they said pricing would increase if changing:
  • Series
  • 4x4 option
  • Equipment Package
Since SAS is a standalone package (like the tow) and I already had selected the Advanced 4x4 the pricing stayed the same (of course though I'll be paying more now I have is SAS'd up)

I have an Apr 21 reservation, ordered Sep 21, got forced into a MY 22 which was placed 15 Oct 21.....I got one of the emails, which I appreciate getting a communication from Ford. My only sins are 2Dr and Lux.....However, what I really want to know is where stand in the build date lottery....My dealer won't supply ANY information about ALLOCATIONS that the dealer has (big dealer in Texas so I assume it is quite a few) but more importantly where I stand in the LOCAL pecking order driven by said allocations....

And my real question is whether or not I will be waiting until having to convert to MY23......none of this communication gives me any hope or pause.....

None of the new stuff will be price protected. If we are lucky only the portion that is the new stuff will be the new updated pricing. Go back and read the email put out by Ford last year regarding the price protection. “Similarly equipped vehicles” is the phrase that pays. It could mean no changes in build equals no increase in price. Or it could be that the parts that stayed the same have no increase and the other items are whatever the new price is. Or it could mean that if you change it enough, none of it is protected. Vague and ambiguous.
