NEW TRIM - BRONCO SPORT FREE WHEELING

The Free Wheeling trim is a throwback that pays homage to the Ford lineup of Free Wheeling Broncos and trucks from 1977-1981.

NEW BLACK APPEARANCE PACKAGE

A new Big Bend exclusive appearance package is now available, and it looks nice.

Removed Colors
  • Area 51
  • Alto Blue
  • Cyber Orange
  • Peak Blue Metallic
  • Yellowstone Metallic

Removed Trims
  • Base trim has been removed
  • Heritage Limited trim has been removed

Misc Changes
  • The Shadow Black painted roof is now standard on Outer Banks and Badlands.
    • This was previously standard on OBX and BL. During 2023MY Job 2, it was briefly switched to a body-color roof, and it is now being switched back.
  • The keyless entry keypad built into the door has been removed
    • I believe it will instead be available as an accessory and/or dealer-installed option. This likely will be the same keypad that gets installed on the full-sized Bronco.
  • The 4G LTE Hotspot option has been removed

Oooo I hope @Melissa Clark gets photos from Ford of the new color options. Really want to see a Bronco Sport in the Desert Sand color.

Still wish they never removed desert sand from the full size.

Trim Changes
  • Base trim has been removed

That right there I don't like. IF Ford decides to follow suit on the Bronco that would suck. Yes, you guys can have all your fancy stuff in the higher trims, from leather wrapped steering wheels to sensors at every corner. But there are still those of us who are just fine and dandy with a Base model Bronco. As long as it is squatched of course! Or at least give the Base the option to get the rear locker w/ 4.27's.

I know, Ford is in it to make money, but they can do that with the F-150's that seem to be in the $70k+ range.

Other then that, doesn't look like they really did anything as far as changes go, then again, didn't expect much.

Trim Changes
[COLOR=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87)]
  • Base trim has been removed
  • Heritage Limited trim has been removed
  • A potential new trim/series—yet to be announced—is expected.
    • Probably a Job 2 option... the long expected hybrid maybe???

The Bronco Sport should have 2 trim packages:
Base and Badlands, and they could "divee" up the upgrade packages accordingly.

Are there 6+ trims for the Explorer, 4Runner, Pathfinder, Outbacks, Cherokee's, ect?????

I wouldn't put too much stock into it to be honest. The Base trim on the Bronco Sport sold exceptionally poorly. I asked my dealer how many orders they had for the Base Bronco Sport and the answer was "one, but then he switched to Maverick".

Anyway... I've updated the first post with all of the details. Also be sure to check out @Melissa Clark's article on the front page!

I have been saying it all along that the Everglades is history and you will see Dessert Sand and flat fenders in the MY24 refresh. Still yet to be seen but I feel it. Ford has a way of taking a special vehicle and making it less special. LOL
I wouldn’t mind seeing the freewheeling package on the big Bronco. That would be cool.
