Driving RT422 to work on Monday I was in the passing lane getting ready to go around a tri-axil hauling a crawler dozer when it hit a pothole. A rock fell off bounced a hit windshield in passenger side corner, result a nice chip and a 4 inch vertical crack. Having owned 3 Wranglers in my life this was no big deal, stopped at the home depot bought the old Epoxy-resin and little squeegee and did 2 coats figuring I was good for a while (worked on 2 cracks on JK). Today Friday was our coldest night so far this summer 44 degrees when i left, as I drove down the road with the defrost on I literally watched this crack make a hard left and crawl right across the windshield, never seen anything like that before.
Anyway went online with safelight 3 weeks out before they can repair, and for those wondering the out of pocket with no insurance price was $1400 I use Erie Ins and my out of pocket is $250:)
Also I would like to give a shout-out to @PhillyCat for his find in another post
I will definitely be giving this a try!!

For protecting the windshield, I bought one of these kits: https://www.grab-gard.com/products/ford-bronco-windshield-protection-kit
