SYNC 4 Navigation - Network Not Available

Anyone else have this issue? It seems to have started in the last couple of weeks. Whenever I start up the Bronco, I get the message that the network is not available in Sync navigation. The little cloud icon is crossed out and I cannot check weather. Navigation routing is affected, or not even available.

When I ordered the Bronco, I ordered the connected built-in Sync version, but I believe that is a 3-year subscription. The Bronco will be three years old in November.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Did you check you subscription?

I don't/haven't got this. What about a reboot?

I get that messsage when cell service isn't available at our location. It's usually on a mtn trail, but also happened in New Mexico, west Texas & Utah..

I don't have the ATT subscription & I get the message every other day or so.
What's funny is that it typically happens even though my phone is connected via android auto, so it pops up to tell me I don't have navigation, while being directly over my google maps sat view

Thanks, all! The subscription is active and will be until December. I’m in an area with good cell signal. I have rebooted the unit with the power/skip buttons.

I’ll poke around the menus a little more to make sure I don’t have anything shut off.

My f150 (23) will occasionally do the same… try a soft reset… power and fast forward buttons together for five seconds… screen will go black and then come back on… works every time for me… I learned this through trial and error, but it works…

If it doesn’t work, call you dealer

I’m assuming you have an obstructed view straight up and perhaps slightly south…

I ended up performing a Ford Pass reset through the settings menu, then a factory reset. After reconnecting to the Ford Pass app, the Connected Vehicle settings became available again and all is well (for now). Thanks for the replies!

Good job! I have found through trial on error I usually don’t have to do a master reset (fits pass reset) but will resolve with a radio soft reset. Glad you hit it resolved

Thanks.

I wish the soft reset worked this time. Much less (nothing) to have to setup afterwards.

I'm going to have to try this reset. Both my bronco and 350 have done this.

Well, everything was working OK. I shut the Bronco off to go into a rest stop and when I came back, the same issue had returned. Certainly, I shouldn’t have to reset it every other time I start the thing. Just wondering what the underlying issue is.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

hmmmm... your Bronco has a built in broadband modem. I wonder if that's flaky?

This is a known issue with (I believe) a recent update… While on a recent trip in my 23 f150, we would lose GPS (and therefore weather) connectivity after stopping at two different rest areas in the west…. No rhyme or reason, but a soft reset solved the problems both times… As I was on a 6000 mile road trip having GPS in particular was important, especially as some of the new blue cruise tech needs to know where the truck is…

Mine exhibited the same issues and it was the modem. I had to have it replaced by the dealer and it’s a known issue that behaves slightly different for certain people but in the end, that’s the cause. You can do a hard reset of the modem by disconnecting the negative lead for two minutes, but that’s just temporary if the modem is bad…

I have been having the same issue occur randomly, sometimes within the same trip. I had wondered if the modem was failing, so will follow up on that with my tech. Much appreciated!
