Has anyone had an issue with their rear seat not folding down? The 60 side doesn't want to fold down. I think it's one of the cables that releases the locking mechanism. Not sure if I can fix it or not. Obviously I can take it to the dealer but I was going to try myself first.

Any one have this issue?

Just to make sure - you have your headrests folded forward already?

Ya. I did that. They were working. I did some more looking and the cabled got disconnected at the bottom. I just need to figure out how to get the pieces off and reset the cable without breaking anything.

It was working just fine. Just happened this past weekend is all.

If you don’t have a set of trim removal tools, I highly recommend them!

@jamtra @Bonnie6G Thanks for this thread. My back seat stopped going down this morning and this helped me fix it quickly. All I had to do is pop the cable key fitting back in. It looks like it was not seated correctly at assembly.

Put my driver side rear seat down and up just a couple times before it wouldn’t function any more. The strap on the top of the back seat no longer engaged with anything and so the seat back would not fold down. After 2 days at the dealership the answer was “Theres a release cable issue with the seat, so he ordered a new one to replace the cable. —Envision Ford Lincoln of Oxnard” The part was apparently ordered from Dearborn and will be here in a week or so
