If you read the bulletin it has the exact dates listed. It also appears that the initial information that was put out wasn’t the latest information. My dealership and the Ford app had slightly different information. The official advanced notice of recall clearly states the dates I referred to above. And if Ford is holding back dealerships from selling any of the new MY24 stock on their lots until a remedy is found, it would logically include all vehicles made up to the remaining stock. Not that logic applies with Ford. Give it some time and wait and see. There will be many questions related to this topic that will need to be answered. When I checked on my model year 22 yesterday it didn’t pop up either. My guess is that the entire system hasn’t been updated yet. So don’t panic. I’m not sure how many Sasquatch builds there have been in total since the start of production, but the dates they are including go from September of 2020 through July of 2024So where is the “list” and how do I find out if my bronco is affected? I searched the NHTSA website by VIN # but nothing there. Reading the posts here it seems that I would be on the “list”: 2023 Wildtrak Sas.

No need to get angry or panic about this. The components are covered for 3 years 36K miles on initial warranty. Also covered on extended warranty. I am just gonna drive it and not worry about it. If you have a shock go out on you it’s covered. Just got to wait and see what the actual remedy is.Freakin September !!!😡

So if you have created a Ford Pass App account, go to Ford.com and log in. Scroll down in Support and Service to “Recalls & Customer Satisfaction Programs” and enter you VIN manually or click on the vehicle name to auto populate. My guess is that your vin doesn’t come up in NHTSA because the actual recall hasn’t happened yet. All of the information that has come out is actually to notify the dealerships of the upcoming recall. So where is the “list” and how do I find out if my bronco is affected? I put in my VIN on the “check for recall” and all the information immediately populated. If ANY vehicle is affected it should show and explain what, why, and when. This has most nothing to do with any dealership. So if you have created a Ford Pass App account, go to Ford.com and log in. This is a safety recall so warranty status means absolutely nothing.

There are two things that are associated yet separate. using the Ford.com app, you should be able to put in your information and have it pop right up. When I was Referencing the internal Ford document, it is referring to the pending NHTSA recall. This is advanced notice to the dealerships. I was just saying that you may not have found anything on the NHTSA website because the actual recall hasnt come out yet. The bottom line is that nothing will happen until it happens. I’m Just glad that people do have something to refer to when the dealerships look at them like they are crazy. This issue isn’t new and at some point, finally there will be a solution. I am curious to see how Ford deals with people who have had the problem, were over the mileage limit and are out of pocket for a new shock? Edit: I just checked the NHTSA site again and my VIN does pop up. When I checked yesterday and early this morning I got nothing.I put in my VIN on the “check for recall” and all the information immediately populated. Doesn’t matter if you have 300,000 miles on your ride. Again it’s a “safety “ recall. It’s not something Ford wants to replace, it’s something they have to replace under law.
Anybody that had to replace these on their own coin (I’d be surprised if many) will get reimbursed if they can show proof. That’s pretty much how it works.

Thanks for the heads-up, Tim. It's discouraging news. So, I guess there's no point in worrying about talking to my dealer about this until July, the start of Q3.

Those impacted will get the recall notice saying that there isn’t a fix yet.

Exactly, Al. I know that @SlashRacer had to pay out of pocket due to mileage. And several others. You know how it goes. People complain about the problem and then finally the NHTSA does their investigations and then a recall comes out two years later.I remember maybe a year ago a couple posts (maybe elsewhere) where the reservoir had separated from the shock body…

That's exactly my point. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't do anything about this until July at the earliest.

Seems long overdue. So I was at the dealership today getting routine maintenance on the Bronco. My service advisor, informed me that there was an advanced notice recall regarding the Sasquatch, Bilstein shocks. Mind you this is an advanced notice of recall, but one is coming. The recall information as follows: #25S01. Let‘s see how long this takes.
2022 OBX Cyber Orange Metallic with random acutriments.

Build date was Feb 2023 so in the range on the recall but Ford.com shows “no recalls”. Weird. Guess I’ll wait and see if I get a letter.
