Misaligned door

So I stupidly had my finger in between the driver and passenger side doors and the passenger side door got closed on it causing the tip of my finger to get stuck in the crease between the driver and passenger doors. I’m ok, it’s healing. But I think it caused the door to go slightly misaligned or it was always like that and I just didn’t notice. Anyone experience this? Anyone know how to fix?

Ouch, glad you're on the mend. People have had their dealers adjust their doors (common for the bottom corner of the door to hit the body and remove the paint), and many have talked about adjusting their tailgates as well. I haven't tried it, so I'll let someone who has done the adjusting advise.

Thank you yeah I know my sons Tacoma door got out of whack and the dealer adjusted it. Will have them look at it when I take it in for the next service

Maybe before you take it in to the dealership, try removing one or both of the doors on that side and then reinstalling them. That may take care of the issue.

My wife told me she's the only one that is allowed to adjust my tailgate!!

No way your finger could misalign a car door.

I don’t think he was definitively trying to blame it on his finger. He noticed it after and wasn’t sure if it was that or already misaligned. I think he was only looking for some kind of fix, thats all.

🤷‍♂️ got lucky if that’s the case. I haven’t done anything about it yet. Would rather have the dealer just fix it this go around since we just bought it a few months ago and hasn’t even had its first service yet.

Exactly! No blame here. I absolutely love this vehicle. Just something I noticed after the incident that I didn’t notice before and I’ve been around this vehicle a lot. Have already put a roof rack, side steps, and mud flaps on her so just surprised I didn’t pick up on this before. Perhaps there is a safety mechanism, who knows.

I have a misaligned door on my '23 2 door Heritage Limited. I cant get a response from the dealer as to if they will fix it. They indicated they need to contact Ford, It's been over 2 weeks with no answer. The door is low in the bottom corner, about to hit the sill. It is also sticking out too far on the front part of the door whereas it is not even with the fender. I think something happened to this Bronco at the dealer or the factory because I also found paint on the running board where it appears they dabbed on paint on the bottom bolt holding the front fender on. I'm not very happy about the non-response on correcting this on a vehicle with a sticker of $72K.

Go to a different dealer. They just don't want to do it. I think there are 2 panels that are ok in alignment. QC is non existent in Ford. My hood sits almost a 1/4" below my driver fender, top piece above right rear tail light protrudes into space and I could keep going but I bought it for offroading not car shows. But still they need to get their shit together.

It depends, which finger was it? Could be the Bronco thought you had ill intentions.

After the sub rattle the second thing I noticed was both rear doors slapping the body and chipping paint. Taking it to local dealer they basically put a piece of thick rubber at lower corner then pushed the door to bend it out. The shop manager after seeing mine was curious if his raptor was also chipping paint and it was. the bottom outer edge on both rear doors are unnecessarily bent inward by ford, not a misalignment in these cases. Being mine is cyber orange I opted to not repaint and possibly have some jack up looking metalic matching. for now just small piece of ppf and will later touch up paint it.

We are having the same problem but worse!
Told the dealership about the door but they said bronco’s do that. We’re like no they don’t, we just traded in a 21’ and besides, the right side doesn’t do it! Not sure where the white stuff coming from but our detailer said it looks like some kind of installation underside. We also didn’t notice the hole till we were taking pictures.
