Lane Change Shimmy/Wobble

Hi All,

Brand new to the Bronco community coming from a compact SUV. I’ve noticed that when accelerating during a lane change at highway speeds (between 60-75 mph) on the highway I’ll experience the Bronco shimmy/wobble a little like it has become slightly destabilized. After a few seconds the shimmy resolves itself but it happens consistently.

I’m driving a completely stock 2026 Heritage with the Lane Keeper function turned off. Is this just “big truck physics” I should get used to or is there a possible tire balance/alignment issue?

No this does not sound normal. I can accelerate and change lanes and never feel a wobble. Could it be a shutter like the transmission is having a fit or something. Either way doesn’t seem normal to me.

Could be out of balance wheel(s) or in need of an alignment.. You could also have something loose on the suspension .

Got to agree with Jakob1972 and raqball on this.... That is NOT suppose to happen, something is wrong. "big trucks" do not do that and neither do Broncos....
